There is no hidden download of mods. You have subscribe each missing mod, game just helps you to find them.Lillen wrote: ↑06 Nov 2021 22:03 I have some concerns about Convoy mode now supports mods. My concerns are if I join a convoyserver that supports mods and the other players on the server has mod XY which i don't have does the game download mod XY and fill up my hard drive with mods I don't use outside convoy mode or does the convoy mode works even if players on the server does not have a mod the others have?

Re: ETS2 1.42 discussion thread
I have been driving a truck for 25+ years and I finished high school for a motor vehicle driver and the truck I was driving did not behave like in a game and that in much more difficult situations. I wonder if the creators of the new ffb system have ever driven a truck? If they did not drive, did they inquire with the truck drivers about how the trucks behave in certain driving conditions? SCS game / simulation creators have to decide whether to make it like driving a rally or make it like driving a real transport. If I wanted to play as a rally I would play NFS, Forza Horizon X and so on.

Who plays on Logitech DFGT with new ffb ?
Re: ETS2 1.42 discussion thread
@wujek600kv I do.
The thing is, now in Forza Horizon 5 (which is a arcade game) the FFB is way wayyyy better than what we have in this simulator game. I've already played more than 6 hours of FH5 and when I'm back to ETS2 and feel this poor FFB, I immediately quit.

I have a little problem maybe not a problem. Right and left mirrors point outwards in Renault T. I reset the mirror settings but it doesn't work. How can I solve this problem?

There's not much in GHUB. I can only change the Operating Range, Sensitivity and Centering Spring Strength. Also has an option for 'Centering Spring in non Force Feedback games'. Only thing is i guess i could turn off GHUB.Some newbie driver wrote: ↑07 Nov 2021 22:39 And do you have any mods that change game physiscs? That can cause trouble too.
Also, you say you are using Logitech devices. I'm sure they give instructions to disable some options in the G HUB in order for the wheel software don't interfere against the FFB instructions that send the game. It's not in the blog article that you linked before. Maybe somebody else would remember where this info is.
Regards
I don't have any physics mods in right now. I'll keep fiddling with the settings i guess.

That one MUST be disabled for FFB of the game to work properly. If GHUB considers ETS2/ATS to be games without FFB (and it's possible, the change is recent and I know they took time to update game compatibility); then the driver will try to do effects on its own that will cause conflict with SCS FFB.Qrusher14242 wrote: ↑09 Nov 2021 21:37Also has an option for 'Centering Spring in non Force Feedback games'.

Re: ETS2 1.42 discussion thread
I've lost track of how many hours i've spent tweaking and testing to find satisfying settings for the revisited FF on my Fanatec CSW2. Below are the settings i use at the moment. IMO this gives a decent tactile feedback without the annoying wobbling, center deadzone feel.
In controls.sii
In config.cfg
Lowering the settings for truck and/or trailer stability seems to introduce wobbling/deadzone even with slight adjustments, so this seems to be the culprit in my case.
I don't use c_steer_func, c_steer_dz and c_ff_collis so they're all zero values.
The wheelbase settings are as follows (firmware 6.84, driver 4.00)
SEN - aut
FF - 100
DRI - off
FOR - 100
SPR - off
DPR - 100
BLI - off
SHO - 100
BRF - 050
Hope that helps fellow CSW2 users still searching for some useable settings. As always YMMV. I'll post the settings over at the ATS 1.42 thread as well. Cheers!
In controls.sii
Code: Select all
config_lines[42]: "constant c_ff_gain 8.500000"
config_lines[43]: "constant c_ff_hi_spd 1.000000"
config_lines[44]: "constant c_ff_lo_spd 0.300000"
config_lines[45]: "constant c_ff_fricton 1.000000"
config_lines[46]: "constant c_ff_engine 0.012500"
config_lines[47]: "constant c_ff_surface 0.150000"
config_lines[48]: "constant c_ff_bumps 0.150000"
Code: Select all
uset g_cabin_suspension_stiffness "1.0"
uset g_suspension_stiffness "0.5"
uset g_trailer_stability "0.5"
uset g_truck_stability "0.5"

I've never done that before, so I'm sure I can do it (Långstrump, Pippi)

Re: ETS2 1.42 discussion thread
Do you have phys_mirrors enabled and pushed the seat/FOV "foward"?
If that, you need to adjust the mirrors inward so they fit the new viewing position, just like IRL you adjust seat then mirrors acording to seat position.

So there's a (math) sign error when your seat is too far forward?
