man tgx e5 and tgx e6 is the same truck (uptil facelift for efficientline 3, 2018-ish) with minor details to the exterior, if you where blindfolded and sat inside you wouldnt know if it was e5 or e6 you are sitting in.

what's different about them? Do you mean the 3d Model Quality? we have in game?

that the euro 5 and euro 6 MAN TGX series are 2 different driveline types.. the cabs might look the same.. but the internally the driveline and engine are different...
with DAF, scania mercedes etc they usually have different cab types but the driveline remains roughly the same..

in the comments euro 5 to euro 6 is a change.. the model type of a truck of the same brand usually is not.. just the cab thats different but using the same engine,gearbox etc so the trucks can be build in the same factory witch reduces costs to build it.. and you dont need a large stock of parts in a warehouse if parts for exsample an XF is the same as an XG+ driveline..

i dont understand what you mean with this? driveline will change with every brand when new emissions standard is introduced, that the whole point on emissions standard, that the truck becomes more efficient to meet new standards. and it dont change the fact that besides minor facelift its the exact same truck.

People cant read, that is, i didnt talk about the real trucks, i talked about the ingame ones, the TGX and TGX E6 are 2 different trucks, the Scania R/S, Scania R/Streamline and the Renault T/TEvo (even the DAF XF E6 and the XF) are the same truck

my original comment was on the topic of combining all DAF 2021 models into one and same "tab" if you will, much like DAF XF e6 has legacy and facelift in one model, and that MAN TGX e5 and TGX e6 should be in the same "tab" also, because its only a minor external facelift that seperates them and the driveline, but it was also handled already with DAF XF e6 where you have all choices inside the configurator (in-game). So all in all i wished SCS has added e5 parts to the e6 model when that released and deleted the old tgx e5, because then we would have accurate and modern model in-game that represented e5 and e6. and i know about licesing etc. this is me dreaming because ETS2 need some much better truck models!
and it somehow turned into a silly discussion.

I know that to delete a mod that one used previously to acquire a moded truck is one pretty sure way to ruin your profile.

Although there's probably ways to do proper checks and fix it; I could understand why they didn't deleted the old MAN and unified both models in one single with different facelift parts like you say.

There could had been lots of other reasons too; ones I could even imagine about. But that's the first one it comes to my mind and seems pretty relevant to me to make them avoid problems by just not creating them.

it would be very nice if they figured out a way to do that, but again everything comes down to licensing and having avaible crew to do the work, its only a dream for me that all the old truck models that was pulled from older titles is refreshed to current standards because the game is evolving so beatutifully but the main protagonists (the trucks ) are left behind in this process.
