When do you service your truck

#1 Post by actros aaron » 05 Oct 2021 13:58

curious to know how do you service your truck....presuming you stay on the same truck for long periods of time or long mileage

do you bring it garage after X miles?

or when the engine damage gets to certain percentage?

iv been using the daf xg since it came out and have just done 20,000km and have not brought it to garage yet....engine damage is at 7% and tyre wear is at about 38% .....

so what do you do?

I do it whenever I'm done with a delivery and in a city that has service.

That's how I do it too. After a delivery, the truck is serviced, refueled and washed.

Somewhere between 5 and 10 percent damage mostly, that is, if I haven't bought a new truck before that time.

When the wheels are damaged between 15 and 20 percent. I don't think it is realistic to repair a tiny damage and pay proportionally little for a service visit. There should be some constant charge because the mechanics have to examine the truck to determine the level of damage and remove, treat or replace parts.

Tires when they are between 80% and 90%. Usually after had suffered some crash due the loss of grip they had at that wear level.

Rest of things, when the stalls are so often to be a real nuisance.
