Re: ETS2 1.43 open beta discussion
They've already teased the XF on the blog of ETS2 1.43 Open Beta. Besides what they said in that August Blog: "If everything goes according to plan, we look forward to bringing the new DAF XF to the roads of Euro Truck Simulator 2 this Autumn!".
ATS and ETS2 is Hella nice!

I know, the DAF XF can be released as a separate update as it's just a DLC!

Re: ETS2 1.43 open beta discussion
Hi everyone,
New ETS2 build 1.43.0.61 is available in public_beta on Steam.
New ETS2 build 1.43.0.61 is available in public_beta on Steam.
- Gamepad - controller in UI menu.
- We want to test prototype of UI controls with gamepad.<br>The goal of the test is to find as many screens where controls does not work properly and get general feedback about the controls. So it can also partially test if the controls are intuitive.
- Development was done on xbox controllers, if you have different one, we want to know what does not work (the basic control layout should stay the same) but your ability to test the UI might be limited (already have report of this)
- To start testing, push command ui_gamepad_mode to console.
- Test is focused only on non-driving ui. So basically everything after you start the game and before you click drive.
Re: ETS2 1.43 open beta discussion
You know html codes don't work on the forum, right?
Re: ETS2 1.43 open beta discussion
Using a standard PS4 controller with DS4Windows enabled.
- Left analog stick to move the cursor feels fluent, however when you change direction there is a slow down before it speeds up again into the new direction. If the speed could be consistent upon changing directions that would be great.
- All dpad directions work and feel fluent.
- X to enter driving from the menu works fine.
- Using the left analog stick to quickly move over the different buttons on the main menu is fleunt also, the borders appear and disappear at a decent rate and are very smooth.

Re: ETS2 1.43 open beta discussion
There you have a test of a gamepads UI and we also knows (due their moding beta) they are touching something related to vehicles wear/damage. So it seems that yes, a bit more OB.
On the positive side, that will give a break for mod users that saw how they just had them ready for 1.42 and another beta version appeared.

Re: ETS2 1.43 open beta discussion
I was wondering when this function of controller in the UI menu would come, since the ETS2 and ATS will be compatible with the Steam Deck which will be released in February 2022.
