VR - experimental support
Re: Oculus Rift - experimental support
So I started a fresh save without mods.
The model in the mirror seemed fine.
Enabled schumi’s DAF 106/E6 got a new quickjob (so the truck is fixed) and it was still fine.
I got no clue what Mod I have that could potentially be the issue since I only have a sound mod for the DAF and nothing else. I’ll have to try some more stuff.

DeDietz, do you happen to use the Realistic Brutal Weather mod? It includes modifications to the mirror FOV values which could potentially lead to what you're experiencing.

Re: Oculus Rift - experimental support
I myself have an index. I’m running an RTX 2080ti with an intell 7700K overclocked to 5.1. I run everything on high to medium, with mirrors distance on medium and shadows on low, SSAO on medium as well.
I get above 80fps on the highway and the cities usually I get lower depending on time of day and the amount of traffic nearby.
I run my index at 80fps and at about 130% resolution, with motion smoothing off.

Re: Oculus Rift - experimental support
Not really, I just left stereo buffer scale at 1.0 and just used the render resolution in the steam vr settings to change the resolution.

Re: Oculus Rift - experimental support
i tried the buffer, is a no go, maybe because of my 1070GPU but i didnt try the VR scaler yet
also, what i notice is a kind of heat haze shimmering on object edges, specifically the dashboard, is it normal or is it because i wear glasses underneath? (custom made lens glasses are already ordered)

I’m not exactly sure. I’d have to run your settings just to see. I know even with how mine is set, I do know I get a sort of hazy shadow above objects if I’m not looking directly at them. Especially the dashboard at night.

@Frayner i tried to make a video, you see it especially if you are riving, or any kind of movement in the bottom part of the middle FoV

you see it here on the wiper, it looks like the frames are out of sync but they arent, instead the wiper looks like a piece of rubber that waves

Re: Oculus Rift - experimental support
That is odd. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before either. Not really sure what would make that happen either.
Does it only appear in the head set, or does it appear on your monitors too if you mirror the image?
