I advice you to cancel the rx 6800 nitro+, believe me I had a rx 6900 red devil and ETS 2 and ATS sucked in VR. The ati cards are unfortunately unoptimized for ASW or reprojection and don't seem to support older games quite well, maybe drivers already fixed it? But I doubt it. I have a RTX 3090 now and the difference is big! When you can hit max fps the ati cards are really fast, I think my rx 6900 was actually a bit faster because I could overclock it easily. But Nvidia support for VR is way better. Cancel it, you won't enjoy it.Uxot wrote: ↑04 Feb 2021 01:53Glad it helped some people...But for me the rubber-banding is still there and annoying me AF..i guess it might be because my 1080ti is struggling with my Reverb G2 lol...can't wait for my RX 6800 Nitro+ to arrives :/SuperToast wrote: ↑03 Feb 2021 04:39
Tried this tonight, wow what a difference! I still get occasional micro stuttering in cities, but it's nothing compared to the rubber-banding effect that would come along with it. Now I seem to get seamless transitions between 90 and 45 FPS when needed. It feels so much smoother. Thank you!
@Komat I know i have been annoying with this issue But if you could confirm for this so i can stop reporting that and keep using just 1 truck + 2 modded one (splitted windshield) until the end of time.
Is SCS planning to address the placement of the Windshield/Windows in the trucks? Like i reported multiple times when driving with Track IR / VR you can see that the windshield is just a floating panel with no curves on each sides,AKA kinda ruins the realism / immersion imo.
(trust me i hate being the only one here seeing this issue.)
Thank you for your patience.

Re: Oculus Rift - experimental support
Jep and the update looks awesome in VR, the graphics look much more realistic in my Reverb g2. Really amazing update.electricz wrote: ↑23 Mar 2021 12:21 ATS VR Beta Branch is already updated on steam.
Thank you, Komat! I honestly can't tell you how much VR has increased my enjoyment of both ETS2 and ATS. Can't speak for anybody else, but I've purchased every map expansion in both games as soon as they become available so I can see it from inside the truck thanks to your hard work.
Re: Oculus Rift - experimental support
After 1.40 update, my performance in vr are trash. very stuttery and lags all the time. I use the same settings as in 1.39. V1.39 runned very smooth. Im disapointed
Re: Oculus Rift - experimental support
My performance appears about even after the update, but wow the lighting update is nice. Really feels one step closer to being there. Aside from that ambience, the skies are excellent. This is the only reason I use my headset lately.
Re: Oculus Rift - experimental support
Ditto, thank you very much @Komat . In fact, if it wasn't for the VR version, I would not be playing, nor would have purchased all the DLC. VR is the ONLY reason I keep playing. Haven't had a chance to try the 1.40 update yet, but hopefully this weekend - really hoping performance has not been impacted too much as I am already running on the ragged edge with my system.electricz wrote: ↑23 Mar 2021 12:21 Thank you, Komat! Micha_UK, what's your system?

Standalone 40' mode: EN 7.82 swap body, 20', 30', 40' or 2 x 20' trailer.

Re: Oculus Rift - experimental support
1.40 looks amazin in VR! If anything, my performance is actually better, I'd say. I'm on a 2080 Ti and use a Reverb G2 @ 70% resolution and forced reprojection @ 45 fps. Before, the reprojection would introduce alot of ghosting and glitches, but now I can hardly tell it's even reprojecting, most of the time.
Re: Oculus Rift - experimental support
Looks amazing.
How were you able to force reprojection? For me thats not working...

Re: Oculus Rift - experimental support
Dunno seems fine to me yet on Reverb G2 Full resolution...anyway i don't wanna spend 2000+$ CAD on a GFX... Red Devil is actually my dream card but yeah...stock bots/scalpers fun times...w/eWakkaman wrote: ↑23 Mar 2021 23:09I advice you to cancel the rx 6800 nitro+, believe me I had a rx 6900 red devil and ETS 2 and ATS sucked in VR.
