I remembered to have seen that video on news time ago.
Volvo marketing department couldn't have thought an advertising campaign for their brake systems better than this video.

Except both the company in question and Volvo themselves went out after this incident went viral and confirmed that this was all driver's reaction, and no emergency brake system.

Really? The video appeared on the news because, as you said, it became viral, but later I never heard anything more about.
Yesterday I remembered it when talking with some friends, I searched the forum in case was already posted (I didn't found nothing) and then I created the topic.
Then, if it's not a good advertising for automatic Volvo brakes, at least it is a good one for the quality of normal brakes and for the driver itself.

Yep. The EBA from Volvo dosen't see pedestrians unitl yet. Only the driver saved the life of this little stupid Idiot.
