It's been years that I complain about the FH4 scaling. As I'm a bit less obsessed about model fidelity now, I decided to start working on that problem. :?

I started, again, by the chassis. The base (and parts) is from Eugene and the light markers are from Sogard. Renault chassis by SCS, featuring my own tweak and fixes.

Vanilla cabin for scale (ha!).

Most of the references I got are photographic. Detail shots from Volvo media center and the rest is from Flickr, used trucks/parts for sale, video, etc.
Combining random references with limited modelling skill is not superb but it'll do as my model is low poly.. :oops:

I proceed to make part by part vulgarly, hear by that without details, to be able to fix/adjust them easily before adding details such as curves of the extremities, separations, etc.

Currently the parts toward the rear needs to be adjusted. The real life cab seems to be a bit narrower at the rear than then the middle, which explains why SCS' side deflectors looks way too far out on the sides.
