Drive Safely's ETS2 journeys
Waaaaw! Friend no word no life!
Re: Drive Safely's ETS2 journeys
Siberian area.
Anyways, fantastic screenshots and story mate, you made me feeling like i was there. I also like those unusual trucks such as the FSC Star or GAZ but i think i'd rather get a Freightliner Century.

What Freightliner was that? If you want one with a working gas needle, try Dmitry68's Coronado. Not yet converted to 1.6 but it really works well and the gauges are an easy fix.
Re: Drive Safely's ETS2 journeys
I'm pretty sure it's Freightliner Century by Bogdan Kasalap (Vinzel).

Ah, ok. Missing needles is something I've seen on a number of mods that were not converted or poorly converted to the latest version of the game.

@misterbasi, @Scaniadriver1, @obelihnio, @Hakan, @BK Vissers - Thanks guys! Yeah that GAZ was definitely meant for BDF cargo. Woops!
@Joe the gamer - Thanks for the correction. Got confused!
Taking the Freightliner Argosy. Quite similar to the FLB. This truck has the best interior engine sound audio I've encountered yet.
It's got it all. Beautiful engine rumble. Beautiful air brake sounds, gear changing sounds, even the indicator sounds nice too. It even has a "bus"-like whirring sound. It definitely feels tall and mighty and is nice to accelerate and cruise in!

[ external image ]
Lots of animations in this truck. Very nicely done. One weird thing is that the retarder stick animation is assigned to the trailer brake. With that said, I'm not sure this truck even has a retarder in real life.
[ external image ]
The truck features a very nice interior with working gauges. The gauges are high quality and easy to read.

This is a fantastic sleeper cabin. It even has a great sound system and a good old TV.
[ external image ]
The textures are done so well!
[ external image ]
I wish someone else could drive the truck while I sit here. This is a nice view!

Arrived at Rostock port
[ external image ]
It was a huge battle making the climb out of this quarry.
[ external image ]
Can't get over how cozy this looks. It's raining outside and I just want to take a break here.

Rain clearing

Huge bridge hype
[ external image ]
Always love seeing the Turning Torso from here
[ external image ]
The Church is beautiful. Wonderful architecture!

Traffic jam in Poland. Might as well take a nap.
[ external image ]
Man it took ages to get out of Poland. So much traffic and slow speed limits. Now I finally reached Russia and was so relieved when I saw the 110 speed limit.
I floored the pedal. Look at my speed!
[ external image ]
110 km/h in the rain. What could possibly go wrong? We're making some good time now!
[ external image ]
Drag race with the MAN!
[ external image ]
Can't get enough of the sunsets in the game.
[ external image ]
Had to make a super wide turn because this trailer was stubborn.
[ external image ]
And that's a wrap with the Freightliner Argosy. This truck is definitely very nice. Great customization options. Great modelling. And absolutely amazing sound.
[ external image ]
Here's one bonus shot from when I was testing new Boeing sounds.

Lovely pics! I agree with all you said about the Argosy! Love putting the miles (or km's on this side of the forum) in mine!

Re: Drive Safely's ETS2 journeys
@andrei383 - Yep! The Argosy is a sweet truck mod. Too bad I have to move on from the truck but it was definitely nice to drive. Odd_fellow and Kriechbaum nailed the engine sound.
@Hakan - Thanks Hakan!
Now I'm in a Kraz 6446 (correct me if I'm wrong). This is an interesting truck that's distinctly Russian. The green gauges are striking and the swipe marks left on the windshield add a filter of realism.
[ external image ]
The truck features all the essentials you need. Good dashboard gauges. SatNav. It's all there. The engine sound is far too loud in this mod however. The high frequencies of the turbo can be damaging to your ears so I had to lower the game volume.
[ external image ]
Fittingly I'm doing a delivery to one of the cities in RusMap. The truck features its own additional suspension sounds, something I haven't heard before in a mod. They do seem to suit the truck well although it feels like it's coming from the trailer.
[ external image ]
One of the things I don't like in this mod is the engine sound in the interior is virtually the same as the exterior. Hardly a difference in volume too.

Reached Moscow!
[ external image ]
Better pull over to let these police on a mission get past.
[ external image ]
In the city
[ external image ]
Unusual delivery point. Nice!
[ external image ]
I saw a queue of traffic stopped so I slowed my speed and then once I saw this upside down car with its headlights on I braked as hard as I could. Almost hit it. I wonder how this AI accident happened.
[ external image ]
Going around town. Some beautiful lighting here.
[ external image ]
Took a rest at the dealer. Overall I've enjoyed driving this truck. There is another similar model of the Kraz which I will try out next (comes with the mod).
