Wolfi's Screenshots & Blender Works

#1 Post by Wolfi » 11 Nov 2019 19:20

Well, since both old topics have been purged I guess it's time for a clean start.
I'll throw both ETS2 and ATS screenies in here, cause maintaining 2 topics with my "activity" doesn't make much sense :P
Today some ETS2 :D

The Legend is back! 8-)

I have been testing NextGen graphics mod on those and I must say I am seriously disappointed. For a mod that got so much fuss around it I would assume it would actually make the game look better :?
Sure the skyboxes are nice, but visuals overall make the game look like it's 2011...
I'm definitely going to get back to my old weather mod, so stay tuned ;)

That's a great looking truck! :)

Scania trucks are the best, but the Peterbilts are good too.
Road signs are just as important as the road itself.

Lovely. Especially the Wolfi driver/co-driver graphics. They look sharp.

What is your preferred weather mod, and what, in your view, makes it stand out?

Thanks :3
I use a weather mod made from scratch by a good friend of mine. I like it, because it's a rather lightweight one, and yet it's an effect of hundreds of hours of tweaking based on real life environment visuals.
To me it is just the most realistic looking one, even though it doesn't have 8k skyboxes and stuff...
Not to mention, every other weather mod I tried causes the graphics to look either bleached, or plasticky, while this one I feel really makes the environment look more natural.
I guess the best comparison will be these 2 shots, both taken roughly at the same time of day:

It may not be to everyone's taste, but for me it makes the game look a lot better and thus more fun to play.

Interesting. What’s important is that you like it, as it’s how you experience the game. I dropped weather mods entirely because it’s a pain to wait for them to be updated whenever the game is changed and they are impacted. However, I do want fall and winter so I use @grimes seasons mods for that.

Nice to see you posting pics again.
