Re: 55six's Photography thread. (My ETS2 experience)
I've had many trucks in ETS2, tried to like a lot of them... but i don't think any of them comes close to the feel of driving a Scania NG... I don't know how to explain it but it is what it is... the NG Scania is without a doubt, the best truck you can get in ETS2... i don't know what it is that makes it this good and smooth to drive but something does.
DAF's are nice looking and well made, but are also a bit stiff and weaker. Volvo's imho, comes a bit close to the NG Scania's but not nearly enough to be quite competitive (Tbh, it's mainly because of the crap 3D models we have). MAN's and MB's are quite unstable in some situations... (At least from what I've experienced) and weaker too. Iveco's have a good overall driving feel (I hate to say that but, for me, they do), but are too weak and under powered. Renault is literally my least favorite, since they're sluggish and quite stiff while driving... without mentioning the laughable engine power options. Scania's old gen, have almost the same aspects as the NG but as of now, i can't use them due to the quality and state where this model currently finds itself in.
This is my final opinion on the trucks we have in ETS2, I've had years of experience behind the wheel of each model and manage to see and feel every single thing i don't like about each one. And from this day 'till... i don't know when... I will be driving only my Scania 650S. [Picture below].
