55six's Journey Through EU

#1 Post by 55sixxx » 10 Jul 2020 14:07

As some of you may already know, i started the same type of thread in the ATS sub-forum dedicated to my pictures.. and now i'm starting one here in the ETS2 category.

And to give this thread a start, i'm gonna post some old pictures i found. They date back from 2016 when i used to play with a lot of mods enabled, including a map from South America known as "Mapa EAA".

I remember the exact song i was listening to when i took this picture, it's "On My Mind" by Ellie Goulding

And here's the last picture i took in-game (I guess i really did came a long way from those crappy and blurred shots):

Canned pork from Felixstowe to Bremen. Stopped for refueling and decided to take some pics... this one has no touch-ups of any kind. 100% game quality. (I prefer the Schwarzmüller reefer over the other ones because the kingpin sits a bit further, hence that, the trailer doesn't clip through the exhaust stacks.)

Got loaded with grapes back in Rotterdam with Montpellier set as destination. Stopped at a gas station about half way of my trip to take some pictures.

After delivering a low-boy loaded with four forklifts from Copenhagen to Catania, i picked up a load of Carbon Black Powder at ACC also located in Catania, with Aberdeen as destination with a total of 3.460 Km of length.

A couple days ago i decided to take the dust off of my DAF and change the looks of it. I've had this truck for quite a while now and it has seen several cosmetic changes since i bought it last year.

I don't have a picture of the exact configuration when i first bought and this is the oldest picture i have of it.

Then, a couple days later i decided to change the appearance to this:

After a while, i parked it and started to drive another truck (Actros MP4)... in the beginning of this year, i swapped to this DAF again and changed the looks completely and it even earned me an Editor's Pick. (The picture is no longer available in WOTR... but it's a long story regarding that.) The picture that won the EP is this one below:

After a while i decided to add some touch-ups to it and the final product was this:

And then, about two months ago i parked it again and started to drive other trucks, mainly my Scania S730... but i felt like a lot of people already had a combination of S730/Anthem on their WOTR profile, so... i stored my Scania in my garage located in Copenhagen and dusted off my DAF again... and gave it a new fresh look (I was getting bored by the white). I also chose to go with a 4x2 chassis instead of the 6x2'4 midlift. Here's how she looks like now:
