According to the rules for posting images in this forum, they are supposed to be 1024 x (whatever), so you'll need to resize them before you upload to an image host.

That rule does not exist in the media/screenshots sections of the forum. Images may be larger in the media/screenshots forum, but the image tags may still be removed by a moderator if the image is large enough to cause problems with page formatting or long page loading times.

• [3.1] Images posted may be no larger than 1024 pixels wide and 1024 pixels tall. If you need to post images larger than that, you should use an image host that allows thumbnail linking. Any images that exceed the allowed limit will be deleted without notice. Screenshots forums may allow slightly larger dimension, but this is purely at the moderators discretion.
