It's June, so time for my yearly repainting of my trailer:

@SilverVisage2000
As I also like the Actros 4 quite a bit, I decided to rent one from CharterWay ...

It surely is not the flashiest Actros out there and I would spec it quite a bit differently (GigaSpace with SoloStar, different axle ratio with the overdrive PowerShift, 6x2 or 6x4 for the Swedish fleet, etc.), if I decide to buy one (it would be an Actros 5 with the Classic Cockpit and without MirrorCam) eventually, but it will be fine as a temporary truck for evaluation. Hopefully my drivers will like it.

Actually I think the most important thing from a driver's perspective is a comfortable cab (flat floor, good sound insulation, automatic (parked) HVAC, lots of storage, large bed, maybe a desk and a table (e. g. SoloStar)). A V8 sounds nice for sure, but as long as an engine has 5 or more cylinders, I don't really mind the sound. And I think the current Common Rail diesels from Mercedes-Benz Trucks / Detroit Diesel are actually one of the nicest sounding I6 engines available right now (besides the Volvo diesels). I'm definitely not a fan of loud, open pipe-style configurations, as I get tired of them pretty quickly.SilverVisage2000 wrote: ↑04 Jun 2021 05:35I agree with you on this one. It doesn't have to be a V8 to be a nice truck. I like the Mp4 myself.
Thanks, it looks quite nice! I have decided to greatly reduce my amount of mods though. I only use self-created mods (sometimes also a collection of parts from public mods, e. g. different engine parameters + Kriechbaum sound + improved instrument cluster), mods for classic trucks and ProMods.I am going to try this mod here soon and i recommend it to you too: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VtszaHFhvsA&t=85s
