chester19 wrote: 10 Dec 2017 03:24 how about realistic tire deformation... can SCS do it like the tires in spintires? because the current tire in the game is pretty boring and solid as a rock when you look at it... i can't feel the weight of the trucks that we're driving in game and not realistic like the one in spintires... and the phsyics are not realistic enough like the real trucks... and please add some air hose between truck and trailers...
The hose will not happen. In order to simulate the mesh of the hose moving in the wind (a constant, dynamic, deforming, complicated mesh) would be too taxing on the system.
As for tires, this game does not have the primary focus to simulate tires, it merely represents truck driving. I am not saying that this is a bad idea, I simply don't think it will happen any time soon. It would be nice to have it, though! The closer to realism, the better!

Thanks, I'm aware of this, but that's not what adaptive cruise control is. This is what adaptive cruise control is:
Unfortunately this never ended up going anywhere beyond a proof of concept.

I remember suggesting tyre deformation ages ago. I was thinking of a stationary 3D model, which can be more easily deformed (I think, I'm no expert) and then having the texture rotating on top of it, to give the appearance of rolling.
But, I guess they know better what they can / will do. It's up to worthiness of the invested time, in the end.
It would be awesome, though.
Retired, but still loving it.

i hope in the near future... they will implement this tyre deformation thing... it will be a good addition in the game and for the physics of the game...

This is a pretty low-level request I think. I use my Mouse Wheel to zoom in and out when looking at the world map, also occasionally the +/- buttons. My complaint is that one of the zoom steps is just enormous, i.e. with just one detente position of the scroll wheel or one press of the +/- buttons you flip between zoomed way out with little/no detail visible, and zoomed way in with very small field of view. So frustrating, neither of these is the view I want and yet there is nothing in between them,. Please could we have more steps in the world map zoom sequence so that there is not such a huge jump in zoom level? Or is there some way to tweak this that I don't know about?

zoom_uplift[2]: 1200.0 #close zoom for minimap
zoom_uplift[3]: 3200.0 #far zoom for minimap
zoom_uplift[4]: 1600.0 #city detail zoom for world map
zoom_uplift[5]: 6000.0 #closest zoom for world map
zoom_uplift[6]: 16000.0	#middle zoom for world map
