I agree with most of the kind of... companies of your list where a crane of that kind will have sense to be some times.
But for lots of those industries, the associated yards we have in the game doesn't match with cranes so big. For example, marinas we have in game are depicted for very light and mostly recreational boats; there isn't need neither space in those yards to place such a crawler crane. In lots of mining sits, the space is to crammed to fit them inside (ironically, the older Stein Bruch will be the only ones in that category).
So, in lots of cases, it would be really nice such an hypothetical DLC to provide relevant places where to deliver them for those zones of the map that did have no suitable yard actually.

I'm with you about some yards being small but change prefabs will need to almost redo all game map.
We don't need the 500t-1000t monsters in game, up to 300t they can work in places well in tight spaces, that type of cranes are very modular.
Sometimes they were delivered to places near their future working place to be assembled(they even shut down streets for that) and the crane will later crawl to their final work position, assembly/disassembly is the part that takes the most space.(In the case of small yards the parts can be delivered to the yard but to mount the crane boom the street must be shut down to have the space needed)

My wish would be that the scs also releases the volvo dlc for the tempoäry version of 1.41. not everyone has none in it. I prefer to use version 1.41 with friends to make sure that modifications continue to run without problems. a shame the scs writes it goes to 1.41 and the tempoäry version is forgotten. but let's wait and see if it still changes.

1.41 is the latest version ofc the Volvo DLC works with it, or do you mean the Volvo CE DLC ? this will be updated when the time comes for it

I wanted to suggest a couple small things related to convoy:
-fatigue simulation -> add an extra menu option 'single player only' so it will remain disabled all the time while playing convoy and enabled whie playing alone.
- being able to store last used advanced filters on the convoy browser menu.

-Option to toggle midlift steering when lifted
-Option to toggle brake light when auxiliary brakes are used (retarder, engine brake etc.)
-more accurate axle load simulation and chassis weight (Right now, auto drop of axle is broken on midlift chassis.)
-more logical auto starting gears (Some trucks will start in 6th gear, which totally is illogical)
-option to manually select unladen/laden starting gear

The two biggest ones for me are:
1. Full overhaul of the shadows, they're absolutely ghastly and make the screenshot feature a bit less fun to use - only being able to use certain times of day or night is kind of lame.
2. Quarries. These are the most under utilised job locations in the game, they could be so much more. interactive hoppers, tippers you have to use, cranes loading rock slabs etc.
