Anyway, the actual sleeping system is perfect.

Re: Resting time
In the economy_data.sii file I adjusted the default values
To read
Just seems a bit more realistic to me.
Code: Select all
maximum_driving_time: 660 # how long the driver can drive (in minutes)
sleeping_time: 540 # length of sleep (in minutes)
Code: Select all
maximum_driving_time: 400 # how long the driver can drive (in minutes)
sleeping_time: 180 # length of sleep (in minutes)
I'm writing a book on plagiarism. It wasn't my idea.

Re: Resting time
Mine was:
I dont use it atm moment, i try to organise my own times. I will take a 10 to 20 minute break usually after 6 to 7 hours of driving then sleep the 10 hours at the appropiate places after 12 to 14 hours of driving.
Code: Select all
maximum_driving_time: 840 #14 hours
sleeping_time: 600 #10 hours
Re: Resting time
Multi-manning with your company employees should also be allowed if real driving hours apply. And extra rules for ADR: Weekly work per driver cannot exceed 45 hours. At least 48 hours of weekly rest is required. No route deviation. Loading/unloading is counted against driving hours.
In extreme cases, up to 18 hours of driving is allowed if road circumstances do not allow stopping safely.

Re: Resting time
In the US there is a provision for trucks with sleeper berths that allow for extension of the 14 hour duty time and break up the rest period into an 8 hour and 2 hour period during that time.
I would like to more options for the rest period, even if it's not exactly to the actual code. It happens quite often when I am on a job and only an hour or two away from the destination, I need to sleep. It just annoys me that I waste 10 hours of game time just to get another hour or two of drive time.
I would like to see us be able to select the amount of rest we get, and that amount reduces the fatigue indicator by a percentage, with diminishing returns until we get the full 10 hours.
For example. I decide to rest for only 2 hours. The indicator would go from 100% full (red) to 80%. I continue to drive until fatigue is 100% again, then rest for another 2 hours. This time I would only get a 10% reduction.
Again, not "by the book" in terms of the actual regulations, but at least something to give us more options for our driving/rest duty hours.

Re: Resting time
If you don't want it realistic by the regulations you can do like I did and disable fatigue. Resting then needs to be done in game time unfortunately or you'll lose 11 hrs although you only need a mandatory 45 min rest period.
Re: Resting time
Resting should work according to real time instead of game time.

Re: Resting time
?!
why real time, this wouldnt make sense, if the y implement resting time then it should be in game time not real time

Re: Resting time
Otherwise you would have to rest too frequently.
