Activity on this wishlist will be significantly reduced because I moved on, MOSTLY, to other games.

Some wishes might've been "confirmed" already by means of blog post or interview but I will only update a wish as completed when it has been added to the game in a public release and we can use it.

Lgd.:

(wish) means optional - I'm fine if they don't.
Strike means wish is granted.
[E] means ETS2.
[A] means ATS.
[&] means Both games.
wish expl. means impossible wish.
means first draft - will be further refined in future.

1. Maps:
1.1 - [E] Expand: Scandinavia Even if it's just a bunch of 1 or 2 company cities.
1.2 - [E] Expand: Finland See 1.1.
1.3 - [E] (Rescale: UK) Optional rescale to same scale of the rest of the map[1:19].
1.4 - [E] Rebuild: Base Map Partially Completed Up to Germany Rework standards.
1.5 - [E] Rebuild: Going East Up to Germany Rework standards.
1.6 - [&] (Truck + Trailer Assembly Plants) Partially Completed Scania, Volvo and now Kenworth have joined, now let's hope the others follow suit.
1.7 - [E] Rebuild: Scandinavia Up to Germany Rework standards.
1.8 - [E] Expand: Russia Up to Murmansk and East towards Moscow. Once Northern Scandinavia + Finland is a thing.
1.9 - [A] Rebuild: California Speaks for itself.
1.10 - [A] Rebuild: Nevada Partially Completed Speaks for itself.

2. Trucks & Trailers:
2.1 - [&] Rebuild: Older Trucks DAF, Iveco, old MAN, old Renaults - They all need a serious rework. That crooked XF106 interior drives me mad!
2.2 - [&] Cables -- Thanks, SCS!
2.3 - [E] (Rigids) I gave up all hope for this to ever come to the game.
2.4 - [&] Own Trailers + Customization -- Thanks, SCS!
2.5 - [&] Updated Base Game Trailers Partially Completed Is being worked on.
2.6 - [&] Licensed Trailer Tires Partially Completed The Krone ones are a start.
2.7 - [&] (Manual Loading of Trailers) Don't know if this is even possible but if it could be implemented in some form or shape, it'd be amazing.
2.8 - [&] (Multi-Company Load Drop Off) Possible future addition.
2.9 - [&] ADR-Plates For Trucks Maybe equip them on the truck automatically when hauling ADR cargo, same system as the ones on trailers currently. Or use the F7 menu.
2.10 - [E] 16.5 Meter Trailer RU + FIN I'd like 16.5 meter long trailer variants in Finland and Russia like in these two examples: Steelbear | VAK.
2.11 - [&] Specialty Trucks More local specialty trucks like concrete mixers, dumpers, construction trucks, .. and maybe even vans.
2.12 - [&] Rigids Cargo System If rigids won't ever come via official trucks in game, maybe provide a system so mod-users can at least have a functioning cargo system to load their rigids up with.
2.13** - [E] (Sequential Indicators) Optional because I'm not entirely sure if they come like that from factory or are aftermarket option. Seen them on DAF and Scania.


3. Sounds:
3.1 - [&] Refrigerator Unit Humming For those all important immersion purposes.
3.2 - [&] Change Yawn To Alarm The yawn is ridiculously annoying/infuriating, not to mention rude and uncivilized. Great example for kids? I think not.
3.3 - [&] Rework: Engine Sounds -- Thanks, SCS!
3.4 - [&] More "Driving" Sounds Rattling, creeks, different sounds for each asphalt type, ...
3.5 - [&] Tunnel Echo Sounds -- Thanks, SCS!
3.6 - [&] Trailer Sounds A new system which makes it possible to have sounds for trailers, with main focus on tire noises. This expands 3.1 and 3.4 somewhat. (Could also have the system there for modders to make use of)

4. Company:
4.1 - [&] Advanced Company Management Give us more things to spend our money on, running costs etc.
4.2 - [&] (Raised Hired Drivers Limit) -- Thanks, SCS!
4.3 - [&] Tandem Driving With Employees [by cip] If for example large quantities of goods need delivering before a surten time and one truck isn't enough, you can call on your employees to deliver it together with the player.

5. Realism / Simulation:
5.1 - [&] Expand: Weather + Seasons More types of weather might come, they even tested a sandstorm. For my idea how to implement seasons, click HERE.
5.2 - [E] (Customs Check) -- Thanks, SCS! [no blog post available]
5.3 - [&] Bumpy Roads Partially Completed More bumpy roads are coming, for example a logging area road.
5.4 - [&] Tire Compression Although probably quite difficult to make [or near impossible], tire compression would add to the realism and it'd help seeing how heavy trailer/cargo is.
5.5 - [&] Mud + Puddles Simulation On dirt roads have mud patches where your truck can sink in a little and/or get slowed down a little, same with water puddles during/after rain.
5.6 - [&] Wind Simulation Feeling the wind push against your truck/trailer could add to the realism and provides some challenge.
5.7 - [E] Advanced Customs Check -- Thanks, SCS!
5.8 - [&] Improve: Water Spray + Dust Possibly impossible but I'd love seeing water and dust interact properly with the vehicle shapes. Also possibly increasing the amount of droplets/dust on the windshield of following vehicles, making it more of a challenge due to reduced visibility.
5.9 - [E] Advanced Ferries Timetables, waiting areas. Increased challenge for those who like to push time available to the limits. Option in menus to turn on or off.
5.10 - [E] Toggle Steering Axles Ability to toggle on or off the steering axles on trailers, this could help in some situations, especially reversing [just in case].
5.11 - [&] Adjustable 5th Wheel Depending on players' preferences.
5.12 - [&] Interaction Mode By pressing a button or button combination, players can activate the interaction mode which allows them to click on the buttons on dashboard. For my idea how to implement this system, click HERE.
5.13 - [&] (Rain Drops on Bodywork) Another layer like the dirt one, optional because just an aesthetics/immersion booster.
5.14 - [&] Limited Walking Areas System which creates new ability on fuel stations/company/dealership/service station assets for player to walk around the truck but LIMITED only to the asset. Meaning you can't walk out of said asset due to (invisible) wall blocking the player from walking beyond it.

6. Others:
6.1 - [&] Random Events -- Thanks, SCS!
6.2 - [&] Rework: Main Menu/UI + Styles Partially Completed I saw it was arranged a little differently in the recent 1.32 videos but I'd like to see an option where we can change it's style too - for example a modern flat UI. Additionally have a UI scale slider.
6.3 - [&] Filters + More Options In Photo Studio Pretty self-explanatory but to explain filters: retro, chromatic, sepia, ...
6.4 - [&] Multiplayer They are planning this to work via World of Trucks eventually.
6.5 - [&] (Borderless Window) It's a modern, good looking option.
6.6 - [&] Improve: 21:9 UI Support Some UI elements are stretched or squeezed.
6.7 - [&] (Bring Back The Moon) Not an all too serious wish.
6.8 - [&] Main Menu/UI Styles Selection A drop-down menu where we can select main menu / ui styles from a default set or added style-mods This is complimentary to wish 6.2.
6.9 - [&] Expand: Random Events Additional random events like a rock, piece of metal, branch, .. on the road. Basically obstacles that have no warning further down the road.
6.10 - [&] Fix: Vehicle Lights Go Thru Everything When I drive under a bridge and the lights of the vehicles driving over it shine right thru it like it's not there, that's just not gonna cut it.
6.11 - [&] Improve: MAC Testing/Support Not a MAC user myself but I noticed the MAC squad isn't particularly pleased.

7. DLC Dreams:
7.1 - [&] Expand: Flatbed Cargo So we don't have empty flatbed trailers so often as is currently the case due to low amount of companies with flatbed cargoes etc etc.
7.2 - [&] Expand: Special Transport Cargo I'd like to see more Special Transport DLC cargoes, so there's more incentive to do these kinds of jobs.
7.3 - [E] European Trailers Partially Completed Examples: Knapen-Trailers.eu, KrakerTrailers.eu, Cargobull.com, Fliegl-Fahrzeugbau.de, Kaessbohrer.com, Koegel.com, Nooteboom.com, Chereau.com, Wielton.com.pl, Ekeri.com, Vangs.no, Steelbear.ru, NTM.fi, VAK.fi, Narko.com, Pacton.nl.
7.4 - [A] North-American Trailers Examples: UtilityTrailers.com, StoughtonTrailers.com, WabashNational.com, FontaineTrailer.com, GreatDane.com, TroutRiverIndustries.ca.
7.5 - [E] Truck Accessories Partially Completed Example: Kelsa.co.uk.
7.6 - [E] Around the Black Sea Expanding to Southern Russia and Eastern Turkey - Connected via Georgia.

8. Graphics:
8.1 - [&] (Upgraded Graphics) Partially Completed Severely updated graphics.
8.2 - [&] (DirectX11/12) -- Thanks, SCS!
8.3 - [&] Improve: Flare System A more modern, less "floating orb" flare system would drastically improve lighting on vehicles and streetlights.
8.4 - [&] Improve: Reflections My truck is NOT a ghost, it should show up on other vehicles' / buildings' / chrome or in any form reflective tanks / etc etc.

9. AI:
9.1 - [&] Improve: AI Highway Merging [by cip] AI on first lane should confirm decisions quicker in terms of yielding.
9.2 - [&] Improve: AI Yielding [by cip] Current AI yields to player too much, not enough for other AI thus creating traffic jams.
9.3 - [&] Improve: AI Overtaking [by cip] Chain overtaking + Multiple overtakes for example.
9.4 - [&] AI Motorcycles [by cip] With leaning physics at corners and turns.
9.5 - [&] More Bus/Coach Types [by cip] More types for more variation, for those who don't want to use mods for this purpose.
9.6 - [&] Improve: AI Logos [by cip] Clearer/Add AI logos.
9.7 - [&] Idle Sound for AI -- Thanks, SCS!
9.8 - [&] AI Take Jobs Too [by cip] Allow AI trucks to enter companies and take jobs [trailers].
9.9 - [&] Steerable Axles For AI Trailers [by cip] Explains itself.
9.10 - [&] More Small Trailers For Non-Trucks Like the caravan and the trailer for the random event van. Examples could be other vans having trailers full of construction or gardening stuff.
9.11 - [&] AI Trailer Sounds Same as 3.6 but for AI trailers.

We don't have "classic" trucks in ATS. The Peterbilt 389 and Kenworth W900 are not classics, and they are still in production today. You can buy a brand new 2018 W900 or 389. The W900 in ATS is a 2007 model because of its lack of a DEF tank and the shape of its exhaust stacks. The SCS 389 have a 2007 exterior because its lack of a DEF tank, but it has an interieor from a model between 2008 and now because it has a DEF guage. So these are pretty new trucks that I wouldn't consider classics. ;)

Huh, very interesting. I thought, because they looked classic, that they actually were. Didn't know they were still sold as new. Don't really understand why either, surely they're not up to standards? [aero etc]

I guess one learns something new every day :lol:

My guess is that they still make these trucks because they have been their flagships for a long time. While the T680 and 579 are more geared towards big fleets and mega carriers, the W900 and 389 are more towards owner operators or people who prefer the older styling. It just provides options for the comsumer when buying a truck, which I like.

2.4 - [E] Low Deck Chassis + Trailers - I really doubt SCS will add something that will become illegal in most European countries in the next 2-7 years

2.10 - [E] Scania XT - you have Scania Nextgen R - it's basically XT with differrent bumper. SCS won't add real XT because it's a specialised truck and we don't have those in the game.

3.1 - [&] (Open Pipe Sounds) - that's probably something that truck manufacturers won't agree to implement

3.3 - [&] Button Click Sounds - last time I checked (30 seconds ago) most buttons in my truck were preety clicky and noisy :?

4.1 - [&] Advanced Company Management - iirc Max stated somewhere that they won't be expanding company economy/management systems

5.1 - [&] (More)Realism - and more cookies...

5.2 - [&] (Reworked Sleep Simulation) - first I would like to see some kind of clock or something for the interior which indicates when you have to go to sleep (not using RA - this gets really annoying), other than that sleeping is reasonable imo

5.5 - [&] Bumpy Roads +1 ;)

6.1 - [&] Reflections - there are already reflections on the interior windows.. I even dare say they are overdone in most cases :?

6.3 - [&] Dirt On Trucks + Trailers - iirc this requires updated game engine, so won't happen anytime soon

6.5 - [&] Steering Wheel DLC - is already made for ATS. You don't really get any custom steering wheels in Europe other than 3/4-spokes, which afaik will be made illegal in the next 2-7 years due to safety issues

Going along with your clock idea, I would like an option built into the game to switch the yawning sound for an audible warning from the clock. I'm not sure what they look in Europe, but these are what we have in America:

Exactly where is it stated that lowdecks are going to be illegal in your timeframe Wolfi? Cant find anything on this aubject, also why?

@Bocaj: I've read an article on the subject some time ago. I'll post a link if I happen to stumble upon it again. Lowdecks will become illegal due to some safety reasons, as well as apparently beeing more harmfull to the environment when compared to regular trucks. Personally, I couldn't care less, I'm not a fan of lowdecks and won't ever drive one, but if someone likes them, then why not? I really don't understand why EU messes stuff up for everyone lately, even for truckers and trucking companies... :roll:
