Hi guys. I am keep hoping for news about tandem/rigid chassis as many in this forum, and in the meanwhile, I am trying to bring to the SCS attention a a topic that can be related to this: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=291044

I'm trying to create a flatbed/open box tandem truck configuration but is known that truck can't load cargo jobs on his chassis.
The problem is that the cargo on the truck, which is a simple accessory, can't be loaded and unloaded together with the job, but it must be selected in the garage, which is annoying and unrealistic imho.
So I thought that a workaround would work if just SCS would made a small change in the accessory_cargo_data class. Is a small change that can make a big difference.
Is not exactly the same thing as the rigid chassis done by scs and their trailers, but at least, the community can have something similar, considering also that there are already many rigid + trailer mods such as mine:

There are so many good mods on the market now that SCS would only have to get in touch with the people to possibly take over the complete modification or parts of it. Of course SCS needs licences for everything again.

With "Krone" alone, one could already discuss the tandem chassis. One should bring the tandem and swap body into the game to make both sides of the fans happy.

I don't have to mention any modder names here, as SCS is sure to have them all on board.

And the various body types have been in the code of ETS2 for a long time.

At this point in time, I would even like to see less focus on maps and more on refreshing and modernising the existing ones. Truck Tuning.... Interior stuff (the cabin of a truck is the home of many truckers) Body types, air suspension of a truck. There are so many things that are much more important from my point of view. But I'm getting too far away from the main topic here again

all of that would negative impact them if they dont focus on kicking out map DLCs at least once a year, they have to get mone somehow and the small stuff wont cut it

and it's been a long time in the game but not activated for anyone to use.

Thanks for the reply, and yes it is probably for testing or it might be a behind the scenes project that SCS is working on. Maybe SCS has 3D models of other rigids with them but they are not quite ready to announce it. Maybe...

if scs put the tandem / rigid chassis, it would be nice if it also put two deliveries, it could be just to start, in the same city but in different milan companies in cargotras and aci.
