restricted driving hours as per IRL, the EU control unit for ETS2

Hey guys, I don't know if you knew this but IRL truck drivers are only allowed to drive up to x ammount of hours before they must rest. Otherwise It may be high risk of fine. Right now in ETS2 we drive hours on end until rest time comes, a very basic mechanic.

The changes propose some new features and expansion of this basic system so you get an idea as well. This is known as the EU Control Unit. To be allowed to drive, you first have to insert your driver card into the tachograph, set it to driving time and confirm. If the driving time comes to a close, you need to find a place to park your vehicle. The actual resting time starts by changing to rest time and confirming in the tachograph. After completing the resting time, the tacograph needs to be set back to driving time. The remaining driving time will be shown in the status windows.

This means that we'd also need to make sure the game offers more parking places. This is a pretty hardcore feature :geek: but if you want the true and real experience it should be considered. A trucking veteran should not really notice any differences as this is pretty standard stuff but the average gamer may be in for a shock.
