How to extract locale.scs

#1 Post by ScuL81 » 20 Dec 2012 21:46

I've tried this with the official SCS extractor but it won't succesfully extract it.

I need this to add localised names of new countries. Any idea?

Unfortunately, this is something that we cannot deal with...
You shall have to ask Paval (or someone in SCS Software) for a method on doing this.

Doesn't extract, it says it can't find the root folder. Try it yourself :)

I'm hoping for SCS help!

Ahmm yep , I just dragged the base.scs file to the scs extractor waited a bit and then all the folders came up, but yea I've heard some people have had trouble with this , so lets wait a technical reply from scs software ;)

locale.scs is encrypted. You can extract only base.scs and def.scs

Yea this is what I said. I have no problem with def.scs or base.scs, only locale.scs.

Can't add new country names without it.

You can take part on the Localization process through here..

Unfortunatelly, it seems that they dont work on it anymore, because I signed up to get the game localized to Greek, but they havent contacted with me yet, and I suppose they wont..
But, ehh :D
