@mgysgtdev after some month off I'm back to my own pit project. I fnished the mechanical part and have the wheel and the signal levers mounted. I tried to get the wheel buttons of my Mercedes Actros wheel working, but it seems like the buttons are using CAN-Bus. Did you get your wheel buttons working and were they CAN-Bus as well?

Regards

Benny

Hi @Raskil welcome back :)
As far as i know every component is connected to the CAN-BUS but some components work like regular switches. Except for in our case the steering wheel buttons. I tried for 2 years to find a way to connect CAN-BUS buttons like on the steering wheel and window switches to arduino with no succes. Cant figure out how to write the c++ codes for them. But i made my own solution to make the buttons work. I took apart the part where the buttons where. And i recreated the circuit board from wood. And placed push buttons in them. And LED lights aswell. If i someday find out how the CAN-BUS system works and how it can be connected to something like arduino ill let you know :)

@mgysgtdev I stumbled upon this: https://hackaday.io/project/6288-can-bu ... -simulator
I ordered the CAN-BUS Shield for arduino together with a leonardo and will see how it goes. I keep you updated.

@Raskil hey mate. I was wondering if you had any news on the CAN BUS? I tried searching information for it aswell but it seems to be a very hard system to understand, well at least for me haha.
