The economic system of the ETS really needs to be improved soon so that it remains competitive.

At the Gamescom a new feature has been featured:

Now you can put together orders via the freight market in such a way that you can efficiently deliver several freight to several locations.

I would like to have such a management system in the ETS.

It has also become very quiet around this game, the development is extremely slow.

New signs of life from the OTR Devs on Facebook:
We wish you guys a wonderfull third advent and use this to send a little lifesign. Version 0.8.0 is almost complete and we work at full throttle to get it ready for release before christmas. It features new gameplay, tons of reworks and optimizations, the upgrade from Unity 5.5 to 2018.2 and some long overdue new graphics options. We are currently ironing out some problems and test as much as we can.

I like it so far. I hope it does well because SCS has no competition. And when there's no competition there's no progress. SCS has been extremely lazy with ETS2 because of this. It's been on the market for so many years now and we still have to rely on mods for a half decent experience.

But i doubt it will because Unity is garbage. It doesn't look nice. Too much bloom, too much saturation, and it never ever runs well. Never played a Unity game that run well and looked well either.

You have no idea what you are saying turbo86. SCS is doing a lot to upgrade ETS2

They wish they would a competitor of ETS2 but they far from that, I have tried the game and first thing I notice was the steering wheel troubles, there are 2 different brand trucks and they look and sounds awful, within a few hour I ask for a refund because it will never be a game like ETS2.
But it will be a good thing to have more competitors like there are in sim racing, you can choose and competition makes games better and better.

As already said, if Unity doesn't allow mod support, it ain't gonna be played for a long time. I've modded quite a few games in my life, and i have to say ETS2 is amongst the most modding-friendly games i've tried, also partially to the dedicated modding community that is ready to help, and also for the tools, programs and plugins dedicated to SCS's formats.

Overall, i have to say OTR devs done a pretty good job for such a small team, i'm not planning to buy it but i'm curious how it will turn out.
