Your favourite driving songs?
Re: Your favourite driving songs?
Retired, but still loving it.
Re: Your favourite driving songs?
a french rock legend passed away last night at 74 ... Another cancer victim ...
Whether you liked his songs or not (which isn't really my case tbh), there's no denying that he's one of the pioneers of rock music in my country ... that guy had Hendrix playing with him on tour in his early years, many people nicknamed him "The French Elvis"
Here is his cover if "House of the Rising sun"
RIP Johnny

First we lost David Bowie, then Prince, then Chester Bennington, then Malcom Young and it continues...
...till all the legends of quality music will pass away and the only music that will survive will be crappy stuff such as justin bieber ( i personally hate him... )
Sad but true

Re: Your favourite driving songs?
No, because the classics will continue to be played well past the passing of their artists. Down here, mainstream radio stations continue to pump out The Beatles, Rolling Stones, AC/DC, LRB, CCR, Skyhooks, INXS, The Eagles etc etc. There’s multiple generations still being exposed to and influenced by the great rock/pop artists of the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s.
An Australian artist who was huge here in the 70s, 80s and 90s recently commented in an interview that he is blown away by the number of teenagers who attend his concerts and know the songs word for word.
There is hope yet...

Never argue with idiots. They bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Not in all countries: i'll tell you the truth:
Despite the fact that i said on my forum profile that i'm living in Vladivostok, i'm living in Romania actually. And i bet you have no idea what is the most popular music here, in Romania: the so-called "manele" ( just google it and prepare yourself for ear rape ) is the most popular music ( if you can call that music ). It's so damn horrible and all my classmates love those "manele", excepting me and 5 other guys who still know what is real music. Romania stands no chance for quality music...
Most popular music in Russia is "Hard bass" which is true perfection comparing with those romanian "manele"
