I could get that CPU, but it is an older series than the current one

Hopeless old yes. One of the first I7 that came out. But I still play everything with it. ;)

9 internal hard drives, altogether, plus a DVD burner. We have other PC's for media and backups, but they're not relevant to this thread. I use my PC mainly for gaming, but also have several virtual machines installed and I do a lot of video/audio encoding on it. The extra hard drives allow me to run virtual machines without too much interference with host's performance.
