Finally someone speaking my language lol.

I love how a lot of you post the specs of your "older" rig when even those put my 12 year old pile of crap to shame xD.

Current 12yo Pile of Crap:

- CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300
- GPU: GeForce 9800GT 1GB
- Motherboard: EVGA nForce 780i SLI FTW
- RAM: 4GB DDR2 400
- HDD: Western Digital 1.5TB 7200RPM
- Case: Enermax Chakra
- PSU: Silencer 750W
- Monitor: LG Flatron W2040T (1600x900 max resolution)
- OS: Windows 7 Ultimate

With that rig I play ATS in window mode at 1366x768 and get about 20 FPS if I'm lucky, at 100% scaling and most settings at medium.

New PC (WIP):

- CPU: probably a Ryzen 5 3600 (or 5600x depending on Black Friday deals)
- GPU: RTX 2060 or 2070 (or a 3060 if they're released by December and cost less than $350)
- Motherboard: ASUS TUF Gaming X570-Plus (Wi-Fi) (already bought)
- RAM: either 16 or 32GB DDR 3600 depending on price
- SSD: Western Digital Blue SN550 NVMe M.2 2280 500GB (already bought)
- HDD: Seagate 2TB 7200RPM (already bought)
- Case: Cougar MX331 (already bought)
- PSU: probably a EVGA 650W bronze or gold, semi or fully modular
- Monitor: ASUS VP249QGR 24 inch 144Hz 1ms 1080p IPS (already bought)
- OS: Windows 10 Pro
- Keyboard: not sure yet
- Mouse: not sure yet
- Speakers: not sure yet

I'm trying to stay on budget so I've been buying parts when I find a good deal, and waiting to see what next gen AMD and Nvidia products do to previous gen prices, so I might not finish this until after Black Friday. Having been out of the PC market for 12 years, I first started researching a new build back in June. 6 months later I'm still working on it and getting a lot of help from @Some newbie driver lol. We're finally coming down the home stretch though I think.

- CPU: Ryzen 5600X
- GPU: Palit GeForce RTX 2060
- Motherboard: B550 Gaming Plus
- RAM: Corsair DRR4 2x8GB 3200MHz 16-18-18-36
- SSD: 2x Crucial MX500
- Case: SilentiumPC RG2
- PSU: SilentiumPC Vero L2 500W
- Monitor: ViewSonic XG2402 144hz
- OS: Windows 10 Pro
- Wheel: Thrustmaster T300RS GT
- Mouse: Dreammachines DM1 Pro
- Keyboard: HyperX Alloy FPS Pro

This new Ryzen CPU is insane. 200-300 with spikes up to 400 in ATS during driving at night. 120-200 in cities at day @ 1080p 100% scaling all ultra.
Ryzen 7950X3D / 2x16GB DDR5@6000 / MSI GeForce RTX 4090 Gaming X Trio / Thrustmaster T300RS GT

I responded to a couple of posts here the other day, and then 2 people quoted that response, but now I see it's all missing or deleted. When I click the quote in my notifications it says "You are not authorised to read this forum". So could someone let me know where the messages went, or what I did wrong? I was on topic, and I see other people commenting on PC specs, so not sure what the problem was.

Overzealous moderating, I guess. It's a casual forum, so I absolutely see no point in deleting messages. Oh well... what can you do.
