Hungarian city names [FIXED]
Hungarian city names [FIXED]
There are some problems with the translations of city names into Hungarian. Here's an attempt for a comprehensive list.
* Breszt is Brest, Belarus. Brest, France stays Brest.
* The ł in Białystok misses its diacritics, but it shouldn't.
* Luxembourg (with o) is the city, Luxemburg (without o) is the country.
* Сосновый Бор (Sosnovy Bor) should be transscribed as Szosznovij Bor. (Transscription table here: https://hu.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikip%C3% ... prov=sfla1)
* Brünn is not used for Brno. Keep Brno.
* Majna-Frankfurt is not used for Frankfurt am Main. Keep the original.
* (Boroszló might be used for Wrocław, but I'm unsure which is used more frequently. Google Maps and Wikipedia use Wrocław.)
* (Parma and Torino are sometimes translated as Párma and Torinó. Wikipedia uses the former, Google Maps the latter.)
* Genf should be used for Genève. [FIXED]
* mannheim is not capitalised, but it should be. [FIXED]
Version 1.33.0.49s
EDIT: Mostly unfixed as of 1.33.0.67s
64-bit
Windows 10
Reproducible

Re: Hungarian city names [TRANSLATION]
Is someone working on this? I posted this three days and four updates ago and the only reaction was the addition of the [TRANSLATION] tag to the title.

Re: Hungarian city names [TRANSLATION]
We have a dedicated section for localization that's followed by our volunteer translators, so please post it there

Re: Hungarian city names [TRANSLATION]
Given the influx of people posting translation errors here during EB etc, maybe it would be an idea to add it to the posting guidelines so people know there is actually a dedicated translation section.

Re: Hungarian city names [TRANSLATION]
Good idea, I've added it there. But people don't read the guidelines anyways
Re: Hungarian city names [TRANSLATION]
The problem is that the last time I posted there, it was noticed 4 months later. (This one, it is aready fixed: viewtopic.php?f=74&t=209493) It is checked very rarely. However, it is worth a try.
Re: Hungarian city names [TRANSLATION]
The new update only fixed Geneve. All others are still unfixed.
Re: Hungarian city names [TRANSLATION]
Have you posted this in the translation forums?
Geneve was reported multiple times, that's why it was fixed.

Re: Hungarian city names [TRANSLATION]
This topic has been moved from bug to > Game Localization > Wrong translations > Hungarian (Hungary)
Re: Hungarian city names [STILL NOT FIXED]
This is still mostly unfixed, and as it was moved to Wrong translations, it won't be for the next three-four months, either. :-/
