Interesting typo I found in job market (just with norwegian language)
Interesting typo I found in job market (just with norwegian language)
This is a interesting typo I found in job market. It says city tractors (bytraktorer in norwegian), but trailer is full of SUVs in 2 floors.
It's SCS bug that it's not translated correctly in Norwegian language. We simply call them SUV or SUV-biler (SUV-cars in English language)
Edit: This should now be a picture in size 640 x 640 with a link to full size picture. Learned something new in this forum. Promods forum does always resize imgur images to be aligned in topic size.

Re: Interesting typo I found in job market (just with norwegian language)
Have you checked to see if that is the same in a new Profile that has never had any mods?
Re: Interesting typo I found in job market (just with norwegian language)
I got answer that Modders cannot do that.
Answer from Vøytek in my original Promods offtopic before the case was over to this SCS forum: https://www.promods.net/viewtopic.php?p=182699#p182699
"Indeed. If it's a translated cargo name, then it's a SCS bug. Modders can't make their own strings that can be different depending on the game language chosen by the player.."
I have tested with a test profile that is vanilla SCS version and translated cargo name has the same name:

Edit: I have now posted picture again due to previous picture was just image link on imgur. Now it should be more correct size.
The trick I found was on this website and involved just a edit on link:

Sure you can. Almost any decent image editor can resize images, and a few of them are free... Try Paint.NET 4.0.17. Then you'll need is an image host. I recommend PostImage, which is also free. (The best price anywhere!)

Now it should have been fixed in previous post. Look on previous post.

Re: Interesting typo I found in job market (just with norwegian language)
Maybe if you read and followed the forum rules the img tags wouldn't get deleted?
Forum Rules wrote:[3.1] Images posted/attached may be no larger than 960 pixels wide and 960 pixels tall. If you need to post images larger than that you should consider using an image hosting service that lets you post thumbnails with links to your large size image.
Re: Interesting typo I found in job market (just with norwegian language)
It's okay, Reef with these two pictures in 640 x 640 with link to full size picture?
It has been fixed with image links that links to full screen picture.
Edit: It's not fixed in ETS2 1.30, so it's ignored or there is no status on what is done here?

Re: Interesting typo I found in job market (just with norwegian language)
bytraktor sounds very intended to me. Just think about it.
This is not a signature.
Re: Interesting typo I found in job market (just with norwegian language)
For me it means city tractors in Norwegian while you see the trailer with SUV cars. It should be "SUV-biler" instead as we call them often, not "Bytraktorer".
It can look like very intended, but it's badly translated like city and tractors in one word.
Anyway I have fixed these images that show small picture with full size picture if you click on it.
I can see it's not fixed in 1.30.X update. Is some news about it has been translated correctly for next update?

Re: Interesting typo I found in job market (just with norwegian language)
"Bytraktor" is a synonym for SUV, just google it. I support the translator's choice of wording. And for your info: This translator is Norwegian and apparently have a far wider vocabulary than you.
I'm an active translator myself for Norwegian Nynorsk, and is going to translate this string in Nynorsk to "Bytraktorar".
