Possibility to change audio output in ETS2

#1 Post by WooQash » 24 Feb 2019 22:05

Hey.

Does anyone know if there is a command or other option in the game that allows to manually change the audio output in ETS2?

Setting a different output for ETS2 doesn't work and behaves as if the game itself chose the default sound output (as, for example, you can change the output in the AIMP or TeamSpeak, and the default setting in these applications allows you to set the output in the Windows settings).

I am also interested in solving the problem. Changing output settings in Windows 10 does not work. Changing outputs in external programs also does not work. In other games, there is no problem. Changing settings in the system works in games such as Assetto Corsa, iRacing or Dirt Rally. In the network for many years there are these types of questions and no specific answer. Anyone?
It would be useful to change the sound output in the game settings.

Sorry for my bad English.

It's said that SCS had been working on a new sound system for quite a time now. Let's hope one of the functions it has includes the possibility to (at least) detect in real time changes on the default system output sound card. At this moment it only checks that at startup and the game sticks to that sound card no matter what changes we could made at system level.

Although this is not a mistake but it would be great if the studio fixed it. Does anyone have more information about sound changes?

I like the idea of having to change the audio output device in ETS2/ATS. That'll help a lot.

It's May 2020 and I still haven't found a solution to this. Anyone out there have a way to change their audio output?

You can change the Audio Driver in-game
Go to Settings - Audio & scroll all the way down to the bottom.

Thanks,

Is there a way to have "Game audio" and "radio audio" on separate outputs?
