keep reading and you will discover that using 0x004012C1 instead of 0x084012C1 will bring you the signs back and then you can switch back the r_texture to 0 for better quality

I saw that soon after posting actually. Oops! Most of the day was spent googling without finding any solutions, though, so I didn't find this thread until it was too late anyway.

And thanks for the tip about 0x004012C1 instead of 0x084012C1! Once I'm in one of the DLC areas again I'll save next to some signs and compare the two side by side.

Thank you @Dexx, you really made my day :D

Now it's running as it should be.

It worked fine with the old background, but the new one's are so much nicer.

neither the game or nvidia drivers were updated in the last days, therefore the inspector is working well, I did not notice anything wrong today...

Not sure if it's my eyes but the game doesn't look as crisp as I can get it with SweetFX and FPS is a lot lower than I achieve with SweetFX & 300% scaling.

I used Reshade 3.0.8 mostly with the settings from JuanBonX and ingame scaling 400% the last weeks, since a few days I tested the Nvidia Inspector with the settings from with thread, for me the game is much sharper and all textures looks better with reshade, but the AA is much better with Nvidia Inspector. I had no lower FPS with the inspector, on promods I got mostly 60 FPS except in the big citys (GTX Titan 12Gb)

So i think everybody prefers other visual criteria to play this game, I like reshade a little bit more as the inspector because the whole textures look better for my flavor, and so I must live with the worse AA comparsed to Nvidia inspector

A Creator Updates installs new graphics drivers without asking. Was the same with the last one. Sometimes it happens with minor updates, too. Was done to me in the last days of last year, also.

On every graphics driver update, all custom settings, like done through the Inspector, are purged. You can't avoid that.

First check the driver version and decide if you want to keep it. Install a different driver if not.

If you previously have saved your inspector settings for the game by doing an export, import that "*.nip" file. If not, re-apply the wanted settings.

Then, in both cases, press "Apply changes" in the Inspector window.
