Crash when trying to modify FFB

#1 Post by Berniyh » 24 Sep 2017 14:21

Hi,

I have a direct-drive servo wheel using the SimuCUBE controller.
With the current (beta) firmware, FFB is not working and trying to modify the FFB properties in ETS2 can lead to a crash.

That the FFB is not working is possibly the fault of the beta state of the firmware, so I don't know if you could do anything about that.
Although it might be helpful to know which kind of effects you are using to create the FFB, maybe that could help to narrow down the problem.
(Constant force, periodic force, friction, damping etc.)
What I do know is that the current FFB implementation for the SimuCUBE does ignore damping, but that shouldn't lead to a SW crash.

Regarding the crash, even if the FFB is not working properly, it should not crash IMO, so maybe you can look into this problem and possibly get it fixed? ;)

Just wanted to say that the crashes are gone, the firmware for the servo drive was fixed. So the problem is fixed. :)
That was to be expected as it was clear that the problem was on the firmware side.

However, FFB is still not working, so it would be good to know which FFB effects ETS2/ATS require to run.
