Hello,
The title probably makes no sense, but I've got a odd problem since I got my new 144hz screen.
Basically when I am just playing the game with TrackIR and 144hz I have no problems with the game at all. When I open OBS, as I really like to stream the game, the framerate seems to dip slowly and it feels very stuttery/unsmooth looking around in the cab. And gets worse as I go, some spots it just tends to drop down to 20 or so. Its mad. And when I close OBS again, and change a video setting, it seems to be fine again. I've tried so many things, and I am basically at a loss now. I've never had problems with my old screen, but since I've got this one I have the problem. I feel like its because of the hz differences, but I could also be wrong.
I'm on Windows 10 with a Intel i7 4970 CPU and a GTX 1070 GPU and 16 GB of RAM. All seems fine as well in task manager.
- I tried it with Vsync on/off
- Lower hz (144/60hz)
- Turn all the graphics on lowest
- Turn off Gsync/60hz through Nvidia control panel (Made it look very tearing, seemed to work though, but that was because it got capped at 60 FPS.
- Tried it on Multi-adapter in OBS
- Fullscreen/windowed borderless
- Turned off all mods
- And probably other things I am forgetting
And all of that sadly didn't seem to help really. So if anyone could help me with the situation with tips or whatever that would be really awesome, because I would really just get back to streaming the game. But I also would like to play with 144hz because it simply seems a LOT smoother.
Greetings,
Stefan.

Re: Bad FPS OBS 144hz with TrackIR
Are you trying to stream with obs while playing at 144hz? If so dont. A single pc setup wont be able to do it very well, unless you are on the newer cards RTX 2080ti onwards. Also fry to run obs as admin and make sure you have game mode enabled in the settings on windows.

Out of curiosity, what is OBS?
Observations? Obstetrics? Obstination?
