Zoom problem in map editor

Hi,

Being new here I hope asking help here for my problem is the right way.

The problem I have is in map editor. I’m building an extensive map in the Netherlands west of the A4 (Rotterdam-Amsterdam). Anyway today I ran into a problem and I can’t figure out how to solve this.
When I zoom in free cam the zoom is so extensive, I can’t work anymore. I even lost track of my location due to that.
Is there a way to control the amount of zoom?

I would very much appreciate your help as with this situation I cannot proceed.

I want to "thank" everybody for the overwhelming responses.
I spend a lot of time searching the solution and finaly it was reasonable simple.
It's hard to imagine nobody ran into this problem. It would have saved me hours of time if just somebody had responded.
