Game Crashes randomly
Re: Game Crashes randomly
@StratManiac The owned trailer issue does not cause crashes. If you are seeing crashes you have a different issue.

@StratManiac
1/ Uninstall the dll plugins:
F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Euro Truck Simulator 2\bin\win_x64\plugins\trucksbook_64.dll
F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Euro Truck Simulator 2\bin\win_x64\plugins\TruckyTelemetry.dll
F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Euro Truck Simulator 2\bin\win_x64\libowgameevents.dll
2/
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Mem:11127 Ver: 23.21.13.9135 <<--- 391.35 very old nVidia driver
Currently the newest for your graphics card are:
Version: 466.11 WHQL
Release Date: 2021.4.14
LINK: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverR ... 2458/en-us
The above errors most likely indicate a corrupted graphics drivers installation. You're not the first to have such a problem.
Download the current drivers for your graphics card and perform a "clean" installation, then restart your computer and test the ETS2.

Re: Game Crashes randomly
Will the apps stop working if I remove the dll plugins?
The graphic driver is up to date. It was updated a couple of days ago. I'm bnot getting graphic errors anymore.
Stuttering & lag spikes have gone.
Seems stable so far but I'm not sure about the plugin dll files.
Cheers
Strat

Re: Game Crashes randomly
Everything is possible if the plugins are not checked / updated for current game version

Re: Game Crashes randomly
I've got the same problem. Crashes on d3d11.dll with the OxC0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION exception. In both ETS2 and ATS. Clean install of the latest 466.x drivers did not help. Same 1080ti card, of the Inno3D iChill variety. No overclocking, all mods and dll plugins removed. Windows 10, 16 GB RAM.
I used to have the occasional crash but nothing to worry about. Then I bought a new piece of equipment. My old 1920x1080p 27" Asus monitor got replaced by a 34" 3440x1440 monitor. And now I cannot finish a delivery without crashing 4-5 times.
I've noticed something. I used to play at 1920x1080p at 400% rendering and High AA. With the new screen, at 3440x1440p + low AA + 400% rendering (AA and resolution being the only settings I have changed), I crash every few minutes, sometimes even before the garage is rendered. If I lower it to 100% rendering then I don't crash, regardless of the AA setting. At 150% it is around one crash every hour. It is ugly though, just dropping from 400 to 300% adds some annoying shimmering in the distance, at 100% it is really meh. AFAIC most of the game is spent on the highway marveling at the surroundings, at 100% the pixel soup is not worth the time.
I've checked the GPU memory with OCCT and it apparently has no problems. Just in case checked the system RAM, no problems either, though these end up in a BSOD, of which I have none.
I have a Logitech G-19 keyboard with and LCD display. Neither the CPU nor GPU go above the low 80 celsius, most of the time below that. Regardless of the rendering %, the game uses between 4 and 5 GB of GPU memory. I've ever only seen OCCT using the whole 11 GB when testing it.
Maybe there is another type of AA in the engine, but there is no way of changing that in the interface.
Not sure what to do now. It's not like graphic cards are available to non-miners these days, if only to test.
And no problem with Arma3 for instance, at their max 200% rendering and everything else.

Re: Game Crashes randomly
They are basically the same as for the OP, with different messages at the end of game.log.txt, error creating texture, too many of this or that, depending on what the game was trying to do when it happened.
game.crash.txt, the beginning, it doesn't fit entirely at 1.5 MB.
game.log.txt.
Also, event log, always the same exception code and the same offset.

Re: Game Crashes randomly
Nothing in those logs jumps out. However the crash you posted is from May 2020. I suggest you delete the crashlog (the game will create a new one when it needs it) and post the new one after your next crash as it may be helpful if a developer wanders past.

Re: Game Crashes randomly
Now that I come to think of it... Maybe we are just wasting our time trying to find some fault in our systems. All this system RAM checking, GPU RAM checking, some people bugging the card manufacturers for support, drivers downgrading and upgrading, all this seems useless. These crashes not only do not occur in any other game, and I've played all major releases since last May, including the super stable (in comparison) CP2077, while ETS2 has been crashing since installation day, more or less depending on the graphic options apparently.
