I am nearly certain it is the AMD drivers at fault. Here is why I think so: I have a 10 year old 7950 that gets 30 - 40 fps with everything on high and 300% scaling (except SSAO and AA). Here is the kicker though, if i completely remove AMD software and drivers and instead use the reference windows driver ..... I get solid 60fps (vsync on, disabling vsync it goes up to 75-90). This is pretty shocking considering your GPU is lightyears faster than mine. This has been an ongoing thing for ages with AMD gfx cards. The drivers are really really bad.

EDIT: ETS/ATS isn't the first game(s) I have seen this either. Had similar results in several AAA games. If possible you should try rolling back drivers.

Dear SCS, your fault or not, it will be nice to have a response, a lot of players with love to the game are not playing right now.
We don't even know if you even aware of these problems, please let us know something.

SCS only rarely respond to posts outside of the bug forums. And as per the other posts in this thread, this is an AMD driver issue, not an SCS issue.

We don't know that for sure, since many players had no issues before 1.40

Guys, if that can be of any consolidation, know that some people would be happy to have 30fps consistently in the game! (I get around 15-20fps on my laptop :D)

Just rolled back to Ver 21.3.1

This driver is recommended (WHQL) and supposedly fully tested. Still getting the same issues I'm afraid.

Made some tests this evening with new Iberia map. Same setup (RX6900XT 7680x1440 resolution) as in my first post.

I notice a very low GPU utilization in Windows compared to Linux. GPU clock is about 1200 - 1500 MHz and GPU power consumption about 100-150 Watt. I this area i get about 50-55 fps.

When running on Linux, even with Valves Proton DirectX to Vulkan translation layer DXVK, i get a much higher GPU utilization with 2500 MHz clock speed and about 300-350 Watt power consumption. In the same area i get stable 60 fps (vsync on). I tested with open source Mesa 21 driver.

1.40 is a complete change in how the game graphics works internally. It's perfectly possible either the AMD drivers on Windows or SCS changes (or both in their own share of responsibility) had caused performance issues on those AMD cards.

Whatever, that will NOT change the fact that Iberia DLC is way more detailed (thus, graphically demanding) than previous DLC. Somebody complained before he has dropped from 20fps in other places to 13 in Iberia. Well, unfortunately for that person, he's already playing on a computer that is under-speced for this game before and still more as time passes and the game evolves. SCS is not going to do anything regarding that kind of issues.

Be sure also to always check those problems on clean new profiles. The forum is bloated of people with problems that are being all caused by mods incompatible with 1.40 taxing an high toll to the performance. I'm not saying it must be your case, but it's necessary to eliminate that possibility to know what's the real performance change you are facing and eliminate also a possible secondary cause adding extra penalties. You aren't going to fix your problems if you focus in one thing but you are unaware that the problem is caused by several different things combined.

Hey i also have this issue recently. I have a RX6900XT, ryzen 5600x and 32 gig ram and i can barely get 20 fps in game.
Tried clean profile with low settings and still wont go over 30 fps...

Really pissed off about this
