Are you using an Owned Trailer? I get lag spikes when using an owned trailer on ETS 2. I've not used one for a few days not and the lag spikes have stopped almost totally. Not sure if it will help but it helped me.

WTF, I have never had this during many years of playing the two games
Not entirely true I have seen it a couple of times during prerelease tests in map mods due to extensive writing to the game log (missing assets)

Du you have many errors in your game log?

This signature virus has been spliced with the Fundementalism-B virus to create a new more contagious strain. Please look for it infecting a signature near you.

nope it's doing it again even when i have settings on high

-homedir I:\ -nointro -unlimitedlog -mm_pool_size 10240 -mm_max_resource_size 95 -mm_max_tmp_buffers_size 1000 -rdevice dx11 i am on high settings it's locked at 60fps so fingers crossed

Turning off SSAO fixed my stutters which were really bad recently.

Don't know what SSAO does exactly, but it seems to have a big effect.

SSAO tries to depict the light occlusion that happens in real life due proximity of objects. It's a very demanding technique if your card isn't good or if you try to use it combined with very high resolution values (either real final resolutions or virtual resolutions used for upscaling/downsampling).

@alexhob123 you play with TONS of mods that generate GAZILLIONS of errors (that have to be loged, what it's a well known source of reduced performance when the log activity is so high). And added to that, you started the game having only 3GB of free RAM available; so you probably suffered performance degradation due the virtual memory allocation back and forth.

The point is that you should be happy to have just stutters when playing; one could expect to be absolutely unplayable with that scenario.

It doesn't matter how many graphic settings you turn down or how many start parameters do you add; you have lots of things way more problematic to solve first.
