Monitor advice

#1 Post by MercDriver » 10 May 2021 11:10

I am beginning to think that I made a mistake when I decided upon a 27" 1920x1080 144hz monitor for my laptop. Like most, I wanted the best emersion possible from ETS2,ATS and all the other driving sims that I have.
My sim driving gear is all mounted on a rig together with my 27" monitor which is set 60cm away from my eye line, a distance which gives very little peripheral vision beyond the screen to spoil the emersion level. The problem is, is that the pixels of the 27" 1080 are quite visible and it even on the best settings possible in both game and system gives a blurry image.(I have new glasses )

I feel that I am faced with two choices, go for a 27" 2560x1440 monitor, or down size to a 24" ?

So if you have a similar set up and run a 2560x 1440 monitor I would welcome your comments and advice.. Many Thanks.

My system details are as follows:-
Dell G5550 gaming laptop with 15.5" 1920x1080 144hz panel
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10750H CPU @ 2.60GHz
GTX 1660ti GPU
16GB memory
Current monitor
MSI 27" 1920x1080 144hz
