In my documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/ mods folder, I accidently made note pad my default app to open the files, now i just get a mass jumble of letters and symbols, can anyone tell me what the original default would have been as i don't remember what it was before, it's also changed the same .scs files in my mod folder in ATS

You can open mod packages that use the SCS file format with a file archive tool such as WinRAR or 7-Zip.

yea that's got nothing to do with what I asked though, it's the icon that has changed from what it was originally to now being a note pad icon and i want to change it back to what the original was

we don't know what it originally was for you, but what you can do is right click on the .scs icon, select "open with" choose the app of your desire and check the box " always use this app,...." or whatever it says and you're set.
That is, if you're using Windows.

personally have mine set to open with Winrar.
