FFB G29 very bad

#1 Post by rober_animal46 » 25 Oct 2021 20:22

Good evening.
I am using a G29 and the truth is that it does not go well for me like the rest of the people. I have tried different types of FFB configuration and nothing, when it returns from a turn it is difficult and it goes like stumbling blocks. I have managed to leave it at the point that it is not bad at all but there is no good feeling. I hope they solve it because it was a pleasure to drive with the configuration that had until 1.41

Hi :)

Yes i'm the same :( my G29 is terrible now, i've messed about with the settings & can't get anything i like

Would love if they could add an option for us to move to the old settings too as there seems to be a few who liked them

I just have the same issue with my Logitech G29. I already tried set up everything again, but cannot fix this issue. THX SCS Software, you really made a good test before release this last update...

I have the G920 and facing the exact same issue. I think I am going to be downgrading to 1.41 until there is a fix for it.

Sorry for you, guys, that you've got such huge problems with your G29!

Okay, I also was initially surprised about the rough behavior of the new FFB system with my G29. But after several tries with the settings, I'm now very satisfied with it! For me, it's even better than before.

Never had thought that I'd write something like that since I otherwise am rather critical with patch innovations... ;-)

I have a G29 and have same problem. During reversing when I turned full to left (or right) and want to go forward again, set gear to 2, go ahead and in same time turning to other side I am getting strong force feedback, like there is block in joint of suspension.

here's mine.

its not quite so clunky, still has a bit of hold when going forwards to backwards with some lock applied so you have to give it a bit of pursuasion, but its 90% drivable friction any higher it starts to get clunky.

some say its SCS coding, though with plastic gears it could be my cogs being worn, (my wheel is 3 years old after all), or a combination of both, i have not opened it up nor do i intend to.

There is one trick you could do.
switch it from PS4 to PS3. it has some effect, not quite so feedbacky, but not ckunky and there is a little bit of resistance when driving but you're not fighting the wheel. If it is the case that SCS's coding is a tad off, then this may be your answer. It may take SCS a while to dial this one out so until then, switch it to PS3. I dont know what it does or how it does what it does, but it has an effect
