Mod load order: general guidelines?
I found this advice elsewhere, somewhere on Steam forum...
Scania T > Jazzycat > TSM
truck, then trailer, then map; but overall, it should be
game fixes
trucks
truck's improvements
trailers
weather & lights
maps
Would experienced players/modders agree with this mod order strategy?

Re: Mod load order: general guidelines?
If this list is correct then I have been doing it somewhat wrong (but following list orders recommended by other players on other fora). It's very confusing. Is there One Right Way to do this, or is it trial and error?

Depends on the mod types and what files are being replaced. I'd put game fixes below maps and weather to the top, but it might work other way. Mostly trial and error, yes.

Re: Mod load order: general guidelines?
I'm wondering if a mod placed at the top of the list in the mods interface screen loads before or after the mods below it in the list?
Re: Mod load order: general guidelines?
Loading screens are loaded from the mod at the top. The ones below are ignored.

Re: Mod load order: general guidelines?
The mod manager loads mods from the bottom to the top, so if any mods share the same files, it's the mod at the top whose data will be used for the shared part only.Soilingcomic wrote: ↑21 Aug 2017 12:53 I'm wondering if a mod placed at the top of the list in the mods interface screen loads before or after the mods below it in the list?

Re: Mod load order: general guidelines?
So a mod requiring "top priority" needs to reside at the bottom of the list. I've been doing it wrong :p
Re: Mod load order: general guidelines?
No, top priority means upper side of the list.

LOL This is confusing. The mod manager buttons says arrow up to increase priority so you're right SiSL.
