Setup for fastest truck

I've heard the fastest truck is the scana, even though the volvo has 750 hp, and I heard volvo can hit 170kph...

however, I can't get my volvo to go above 156kph, and Ive tried different tranys and chassis that would cap it at 142kph, but nothing faster. What am I missing?

You can increase your speed by editing the truck's engine file. You need to extract the def.scs file with the scs_extractor.exe file from SCS's website. Then you open the \def\vehicle\TRUCK_BRAND\engine\ENGINE.ssi file, where the highlighted stuff in that relates to your truck's brand and engine type. For the 2012 Volvo FH16 with 750hp, that file would be:

\def\vehicle\volvo.fh16_2012\engine\d16g750.ssi

Open that file and look for this line:

torque: 3550

Change 3550 to a higher number, such as 5550, and see how it goes. This is quick and dirty, not very realistic, and there's probably a much better way to do this, but your truck will go faster. If it isn't fast enough, increase the number some more.

stronger engine alone won't help you if it has limited rpm - you just hit the limit faster.
increase rpm limit as well. 2500 is reasonable (higher may not help due to torque curve falloff).

best way to speed up truck is to give it overdrive transmission (lowest possible ratio on highest gear and low differential ratio).

Lower ratio of top gear would be in order too, i think.
