'Lock Out' Certain gears from Auto operation

#1 Post by Jarrad » 19 Nov 2017 08:29

With the ability to define "crawl' gears, is there a way to lock them out from normal automatic operation?

To me it just doesn't seem right having 2550nm torque and needing L2 to take of with a 17t trailer on flat ground  :?

its computed by ratios. if you have low differential ratio or the gearbox has low ratios (overdrive gearbox) or you have small wheels, it will use it, just to be sure. if you also have somewhat heavy trailer or truck, it matters.
Nobody can tell you anything about it. Those who know about it aren't allowed to talk. And those who talk know nothing.

@Max, I can see where you’re coming from, but, sometimes I think the game engine needs tweaking to not just take the lowest gear it can get.

Maybe as well it’s an issue with not allowing the auto trans to slip the clutch a bit on liftoff, (but that’s another issue....)
