Headlight offence at daytime

#1 Post by andy22296 » 02 Dec 2018 12:30

Just noticed it after the 1.33 update, every few minutes I get a fine for using the dim headlights during day, I think it makes no sense because in Poland you must have your lights on at all times, anyways I like driving with my dashboard lights on, but I can't because I keep getting fined. Also, AI cars have their lights on all the time. Can you guys fix it for the next update?

Are you using mods: maps, weather, the multiplayer mod, etc?

The fine is for NOT having your lights on.
To avoid fines you need to have your lights at the second click, not the first one.
And yes this has been frequently reported by mod users since 1.33 (both ETS2 and ATS).

This is an extension error. Try it out gradually.

You don't need a mod, just turn your lights on.

Police in the game can fine us because lights off not only during the night, but at any moment where luminosity is low (like in real life).

So, in case it's heavy raining and the sky is pitch black, if we don't turn lights on, we will be fined. It happened me a few weeks ago when I was beginning to play and and I forced it a few minutes ago to be sure (and yes, fine by lights at 18:30, when heavy raining).

If I understood well some previous messages of this thread, somebody talked about he's using a meteo mod. This could cause it troubles if the mod shows a blue sky but reports to the game core "a hell of a rain". In that case, the player will not put on the lights (obviously) but the police routine code will smash us with a killer combo of lights off fines.

Regards

I know, but why, for example, the new Scania has led day lights then? The same as some other truck.
