Where is the version of a save game located?

How does the game know in which version a save was made? And can you change the version of a save game?
I'm asking this because a few months ago I was able to change the version of a save, so I could finish my job after a new update was installed and the game economy reset. But I don't remember any more how I did this exactly.
So if some of you guys can help me out, it would be really appreciated.

It’s located in documents your name Euro Truck Simulator 2 open that you will find folders called profile which is where your save is and when you save it creates another folder called profiles with the version number with word bak which is a backup case you want to go back a version or your save is corrupted

The save version is recorded in the info.sii file. Not every save version change alters the structure of the game.sii file but I would think that you could permanently bork a save by changing the version number.
