Re: Fifth wheel wrong position on trucks?
no you cant, he explicitly says it will be fixed when the trailers and trucks are reworked together again or else the work would be done twice and other glitches would start to happen, there is no "read between the lines"
and stop lumping people together, the majority doesnt even care about it, only the forum users voiced the problem

You would be very poor attorney, dear Carl. I do not lump anyone, I said "for many of us" - not "most of us". Besides, saying "majority does not even care about it", you discourage SCS to fix it. If you do not care about this issue, just please, keep your mouth closed, and find some other things to do.

Re: Fifth wheel wrong position on trucks?
contrary to you i know how to "fix it" (to all possibilities we modders got) myself instead of crying like a baby after every update and learning something instead of crying a river would have helped more

Re: Fifth wheel wrong position on trucks?
This is not the case now, we already talked (in this thread among others) about possible ways to fix it, you had yours, I had mine.
Just stop saying, that this issue is unimportant, because SCS will believe it, and will never fix it.

Re: Fifth wheel wrong position on trucks?
xXCARL1992Xx hasn't said it's not important. Has said that the majority of people doesn't care at all about that topic. And I'm sure it's right although there's no way to demonstrate those kind of statements.
Anyways, you all should know so far that SCS doesn't do what people care or what people think it's important. They do the changes that:
- They want to do and
- They have resources to do and
- They are ready to do
No more, no less.

Just because ppl are not active in this topic, it doesn't mean that they do not care about this issue. I think you know, that there is few threads like this one (including 5 or 6 bug reports).

Re: Fifth wheel wrong position on trucks?
And what? Counting all the people we are more or less active here we aren't more than a very small % of the active players of the game. So, your point doesn't change nothing of what xXCARL1992Xx said and I expanded. Most people sure didn't care at all about that fifth wheel level. Heck!, most players probably didn't even realized that's wrong. And even if there was a LOT of players concerned about that; that still wouldn't change almost nothing because the amount of people complaining about something it's just one among dozens of factors that SCS consider when deciding what to do next.
You had already a clear answer from a dev: Only to fix that doesn't worth at all the effort needed to PROPPERLY fix that (not the botch that you could do with the limitations on moding). SCS has limited resources, they can't spend hundreds of manpower hours to change all the trucks and trailers just due that issue or any other issue. A big chunk of the game can't be redone each time somebody is bothered because something isn't 100% perfect simulation of reality.
As Max said, If someday they had to review all (or a big part) of those 3D models for anything else, then they could leverage the opportunity to do those other changes for the fifth wheel. And you probably don't like that answer, but that doesn't change that's whats going to happen. You said you hope that doesn't mean 1 more year awaiting that to be fixed; I would said better take a seat where you could wait for 3 years.
Regards

Re: Fifth wheel wrong position on trucks?
I agree 100% - there is a very big difference to "nice to have" and "need to have"
I never look at the fifth wheel, the seating or the king pin
I stare out through the wind shield putting miles after miles under the belt
@bumbumek: Quite frankly I don't give damn and I have a lot of better things to do rather than getting sick of worry over some wrong position which I'll never look at
SCS has like a gazillion of bugs to fix before they'll come to this issue and by every new DLC released they will have even more bugs that needs to be fixed and your dream is pushed out in to the void

@plykkegaard especially if it is something that can be fixed by yourself (except physics ofc)

SCS Volvo with a bit of work put into it but no people rather decide to cry instead of trying and opening a world of possibilities to have beyond their imagination if a bit of work and brain is invested into it, i now 2 people who did it and at least 1 of them has started to go ham with it
where would i have been now if i had started 1 or even 2 years earlier with modding
