DIY Tracker in ETS2/ATS
DIY Tracker in ETS2/ATS
Hello here.
For a long time I had the idea to create a tracker for the game in order to get new impressions, finally the idea came true and the tracker was created and works.
However, in the game, the tracker only works with vertical axis and horizontal axis (X and Y). Is it possible to use other axes in the game? I would love to do this.

Re: DIY Tracker in ETS2/ATS
Did you mention headtracker? The game is supports all axes here: yaw, pitch, roll, x, y and z. You have 1-point tracker I suppose, try to make 3-point one to enable all axes.
Re: DIY Tracker in ETS2/ATS
No, I have all the axes connected, but only two work in the game, so I am looking for help to understand the reason why it does not work.

Re: DIY Tracker in ETS2/ATS
Okay:
The device that I have assembled assembled on Arduino (nano Atmega 328P) vs GY-85 (Gyroscope + accelerometer + magnetometer).
I used the same device in another game (https://youtu.be/4PcpWzFsV4U) and I had a little more axes that I control, but in ETS2 there are only two, yes, vertical and horizontal
I thought that there are settings for this somewhere and I would like to look at it, if of course it is available.

Re: DIY Tracker in ETS2/ATS
Game have TrackIR protocol with all axes available by default. It's no any settings for control that. Something wrong with your tracker's output protocol. Also try to disable Tobii support in config.cfg
Re: DIY Tracker in ETS2/ATS
I tried this but didn't get any results. The sensor also works correctly as additional axes work in other games.

Re: DIY Tracker in ETS2/ATS
Dear, can you explain about your software? It's no sense to answer without any data. BTW it seems ETS2 don't use Freetrack protocol, only TrackIR one.
Re: DIY Tracker in ETS2/ATS
Above, I indicated the devices that I use: Arduino (nano Atmega 328P) vs GY-85
From software I use the program OpenTrack 2.3.13
I should probably conclude that my sensor is not fully supported, since I did not find any information about inertial sensor support (which is exactly what I am using), so hope that the SCS developers will be able to add support for such devices.

Re: DIY Tracker in ETS2/ATS
Now it's far more clearly. Why do you speak about your sensor support while you have use Opentrack? Are you use Hatire Arduino as input? Try to enable only TrackIR protocol in Opentrack output interface.
