Where was I before the update...?!

Does anyone know how to find out where you were before an update puts you in a safe place ...? I was exploring Bulgaria but really can't remember where I left the game last weekend. But I really want to pick up where I left off ... and that is no longer possible. If I load an old save game, I will be placed in a safe place again. That really bothers me because I never ever skip anything while driving and I like to do it as real as possible. Very annoying ... I know I was at a company and just delivered the goods but I completely forgot where it was. The map also doesn't help because everything is connected and there isn't really an obvious and clear spot where I might have stopped.

Anyone any idea how to figure out where I was before the update?

Revert to 1.39 and then load a save game (may need to copy files from archived folder). Once you have the location upgrade to 1.40 again.
