Hello everyone,
I'm using Playstation's Dualshock V2 to play ETS 2. It is pretty good. My question is already in the topic. There're two buttons to increase and decrease the retarder. As you may know the retarder has 5 levels to increase. When I increase it more than one, I would like to decrease it all the way down with only one button push. Is that possible?
How to decrease the Retarder all the way down with one button push?

It is possible if you will use some kind of key mapping software. You can try SV Mappper for example (i use it). You should assign corresponding default keyboard key to your joystick decrease button and number of repeating (5, and some delay - 100ms perhaps) and all done. Software will "pressing" your retarder up for 5 times for one your pressing.

The keybindings are stored in the controls.sii of your profile. There are additional settings for retarder position 0 - 5 that are not available in the UI. You can set your key binding directly in the file with a text editor such as notepad.

Quote removed - Don't quote the post above - Rule 2.12
It doesn't be realistic because retarder switch "jumps" to 0 position weirdly.

Who said that it is realistic or needs to be, @dengor? I answered to OP, not you if that wasn't clear.

Re: How to decrease the Retarder all the way down with one button push?
Thanks @wato . I changed related keybinding
from this:
Code: Select all
config_lines[297]: "mix retarder0 `semantical.retarder0?0`"
Code: Select all
config_lines[297]: "mix retarder0 `joy.b1?0 | semantical.retarder0?0`"
BTW joy.b1?0 key is square key of Playstation's DualShock v2.
Thanks again @wato . It helped a lot.
Dear @dengor. Your solution is also very good. But I prefer to change keybinding insted of installing a mappign software. But thanks anyway.

Happy to help, @OzgunOzden.
I would actually like to see the hold-to-cycle function in game. Just wanted to offer an alternative solution for the meanwhile.
