Re: Vanilla Since Update 1.32
I've had a hard time going back to a modded truck profile since the vnl came out. I'm having a harder time of going vanilla in ets2, maybe when the tgx e6 officially release I'll be able to do so
In a world full of swift drivers, I'm an O/O.

Re: Vanilla Since Update 1.32
As of update 1.33, I now play vanilla for both ETS2 and ATS!
Re: Vanilla Since Update 1.32
I can get by with the XF 105 it feels right, but my favorite euro spec truck is the MAN Tgx Euro 6. To be honest, scanias don't hold my interest for very long.

With out some mods you just don't have the feel of driving a real truck. This game is suppose to be a simulator. But with out mods it just a game and would have been deleted from my computer a long time ago...

Re: Vanilla Since Update 1.32
I have been vanilla in both games since 1.32, no way i use mod again the game is finally in such a great level, also i have run the same profile for close to half a year now its a lot more fun to see my company grow and evolve, and new updates are a joy and not a what mod will breke the game lottery.
Scandinavian truckdriver.

At least with a Vanilla ATS/ETS2 you don't have to worry about updates screwing up your profile progress. To me that's the only good thing.

I've hauled ass down the road to deliver new cars and trucks, fuel, freight, and produce. Now I'm addicted to ATS doing the same thing in a simulation.

Re: Vanilla Since Update 1.32
I'm using mostly vanilla, I use a mod to remove the X's across closed roads, a UI mod which moves the route master info to the top of the screen and a couple of mods which adds traffic (in game) vehicles that would only be available in the USA and in Europe to give the traffic more variety. I don't use extra trucks or parts for them or anything like graphics or major map mods. The more updates that come out over the years the less mods I find myself using. I had God knows how many mods installed in the early days of the games.
The only thing I would like to see added is antennas for the Pete 389, its been a bugbear of mine since it was released, all the other trucks have antennas just not the 389 I hope they fix this.

Re: Vanilla Since Update 1.32
Im thinking about going vanilla in anticipation of 1.37
Re: Vanilla Since Update 1.32
Go for it! I recently dumped all my mods except for Kreichbaums engine sound pack. I know I will have to get rid of it before 1.37 comes out but it's all good because hopefully the sounds are much improved in this update. I have not missed ANY of the mods I had. Plus all of it was on my main profile since I started the game and I am very lucky that it has not been destroyed by all the mods I've put in and taken out of it. I worked too hard on building my company and making lots of money on it (without money cheats) for mods to ruin it. So moving forward it will stay vanilla because it runs so much smoother and there's no worrying about crashes. After 1.36 I began having a lot of mod conflicts and crashes to the point I didn't want to play anymore. So that's when I started the thread in this section "mods to vanilla" for some advice and then decided to go vanilla... well 99% vanilla
