Special Transport - beacons on the back
Special Transport - beacons on the back
Hey everybody.
We have a report about missing beacons on the back of our 'Special transport trailer".

Can we ask for some information if we should add them, if they are required by law or if they are just optional thing.
In case they are required are they slowly replaced by pulsing strobe lights?
Thank you for your deep analysis in advance [ external image ].

You’ll find a breakdown by state and province of the requirements. If you scroll past the listing of states, you will see a section mod flag, beacon and red knight reuirments

Speaking of, don't these models of trailer also having strobe/beacon lights in the three centre red lights as well?

I have never seen that, moh, and I see floats pretty often moving heavy equipment. In fact, for daytime use, only flags are mandatory.

Nice! Thank you for the information.
I'll be lazy and I'll ask you if you have any nice pictures of those two rear beacons. Just in case...
If not, I'll have a look myself.

Note that all states also require small yellow portable lights (non flashing) and flags located at the extremities of the load - front, rear and sides.

There are no specific beacons for the rear, it’s up to the purchaser to decide what they wish to use.

Re: Special Transport - beacons on the back
I finally found what I was looking for in the past. Some trailer manufacturers have this as a factory option, or some people do it themselves, but yes some trailers do actually have amber strobe lights built into their tail light cluster, like so:

From what I have personally seen, often these strobes have their own small little 6/12v battery so that the strobes can still fire away regardless on whether or not the power is hooked up to the trailer, or if the gooseneck is attached to the lowboy.

Yes, LeafeonGold. That's exactly what I was thinking of when I made that post. I remember finding them back with ATS Heavy Cargo DLC was released and wondering why they weren't on the DLC trailers!
